Patrick Henry — lawyer, statesman, and Federalists Revolutionary Leader — was born on May 29, 1736 at Studley in Hanover County, Virginia. His father, John Henry, emigrated from Scotland to Virginia in the 1720’s. While in Scotland he attended King’s College thus he was well educated. His mother, Sarah Winston Syme was a wealthy widow from a prominent Virginia gentry family.

In 1774, he was part of the First Continental Congress and also helped draft the Declaration of Independence as one of the founding fathers. Adams became the first vice president of the United States and the second president. John Adams was born in his family 's farm in Braintree, Massachusetts. In 1792, Braintree became Quincy and it got the name Quincy because it was named after Colonel John Quincy, also John Adams son John Quincy Adams was named after this town.

Thomas Jefferson was born April 13, 1748 in Shadwell Virginia. He was raised on a plantation in sight of the Blue Ridge Mountains. James was the oldest of twelve siblings, but unfortunately only seven of them survived into adulthood.

President John Adams was born on October 30th, in the year 1735. They used a different calendar back then so technically he was born on October 19th. The town he was born in was called Braintree, in the state of Massachusetts. The town is now called Quincy, Massachusetts. John Adams was the oldest of three boys.

John Quincy Adams was born to former-President John Adams and Abigail Adams in Braintree, Massachusetts on July 11, 1767. He was a dutiful man who followed in his fathers’ footsteps to Presidency at an early age. Through his extensive educational background, and his shadowing of his father while on political business, he becomes minister to various countries, and sixth president of the United States of America from 1825 to 1829. Having a president is something that no country had ever done, or thought to do. The first election was in 1789, where George Washington became the first President. Eight years later in 1797, John Adams was elected to be our second president. Four years after that, Thomas Jefferson became our third president. No one knew exactly how this new idea would affect the United States, but we had to take a leap of faith.

The young life of James Madison could be considered a colonial mirror of the life of many of today’s exceptional scholars. During the summer of 1769, the young adult set off on horseback to further his education. He took three companions along with him on his journey, Alexander Martin, Thomas Martin, and a trusted slave named Sawney. While most college-bound Virginians attended William and Mary College in Williamsburg, Madison chose to attend the College of New Jersey, which is now known as Princeton University. He took on a hefty course load and many stated that he studied too much.

John C. Calhoun was born on March 18, 1782 in Abbeville district, South Carolina. He was born to a wealthy family that had recently moved from Pennsylvania. He enrolled in a local academy at eighteen years old and attended Yale College two years later. After college, Calhoun spent a year at law school and studied in the office of a member of the Federalist Party. He was elected to the South Carolina state legislature in 1808 and to the United States House of Representatives in 1811.

Spence was an affluent planter who also practiced carpentry as a hobby. Both of his parents married in 1752 and they had several children. His parents died when he was a teenager, leaving him part of the family farm.
