1. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer 2. Mark Twain 3. The setting of this story is the town of St. Petersburg, Missouri, in the mid-1800s. The setting is significant in this story because Tom and his friends are growing up in a time very different from today, and this book shows what life was really like for kids growing up in this time and area.

Just imagine if you were born with not being able you to do any physical activities. Doodle, also known as William Armstrong, was born just like this. The narrator, which is Doodle’s brother, is very proud of what Doodle has accomplished over the past three years of his rough life. There is a plan for the narrator and Doodle to make his life better, maybe even more than one plan. Doodle is a disappointment to the family, until he does physical activities with his brother.

1. The novel talks about Huck Finn who is abused cruelly by his drunken father, he joins up with a runaway slave by the name Jim and escapes down Mississippi river on a tranche. On their mode, they come across a fatal hostility, con artists, and charms from the pre-civil war south. All this time, Huck's basic decency and conscience fight with the society spawned ideas about right and wrong, slavery and race.

Gaines, Jefferson was wrongly convicted of being a murderer and robbing a store and was sentenced to death. Jefferson's meaningful relationships with Grant and other characters help him to realize he is human and help him become one again. Grants meaningful relationships with Jefferson and others help him improve his mental state and change how he thinks.

Tangerine Constructed Response In the book “Tangerine” the main character, Paul Fisher, shares many differences and similarities to his mother, Mrs. Fisher. They sometimes show a different way of looking at things and they, at times, share the same reaction. An example of a difference would be, “Today she said, “Look at the mailbox on that Tudor. That’s not a Tudor-style mailbox.”

A tragic hero is a character in a literary work whose hamartia, or tragic flaw, causes their downfall. They usually hold a high status in the society they reside in, and their peers love them. They are the cause of their downfall, but there is always a lesson behind it. A tragic appears in the dramatic play, “Fences”, by August Wilson. The protagonist, Troy Maxson, defines this role.

The Radicalized Mind Joesph Strorm is a loyal brute, an extremist. He is an unwavering leader to Waknuk and the Repentances. He would sacrifice anything for his religion. Joseph is the kind of character that will do what he believes in with asking anyone one else. He is very cantankerous and hard to deal with and is a huge threat to David.

Through simple but plentiful literary elements in “To Kill a Mockingbird” Harper Lee crafts complex commentary on human relationships by means of showing readers the reactions and opinions of divergent characters in the novel when placed in situations and events that challenge their beliefs. Using primarily dialogue and prose, Lee displays the fragileness of community when individual values challenge societal beliefs. First, critical moments like the trial of Tom Robinson are places where Lee emphasizes the reactions of characters through dialogue. For example, the group of old white men sitting in the stands, feeling displeasure as ¨Atticus aims to defend him.

As a teen age boy who wants to find the secrets his girlfriend who left behind all these mysteries after her odd disappearance. It also tells about the lost gothic girl, Anna Cayne, who meets the young high-school aged narrator. Throughout the postcards, a shortwave radio, various CDs, and many other irregular interest.

To be trapped in one's own mind may be the worst prison imaginable. In Charlotte Perkins Gilman's "The Yellow Wallpaper", the narrator of the story is constantly at battle with many different forces, such as John, her husband, the yellow wallpaper that covers the walls of her room, and ultimately herself. Throughout the story the narrator further detaches herself from her life and becomes fixated on the yellow wallpaper that surrounds her in her temporary home, slowly driving her mad. The narrator of "The Yellow Wallpaper" is a major and dynamic character as she is the main character of the story, and throughout the story her personality and ways of thinking change drastically.

In the book “Two Kinds” by Amy Tan, it’s about a little girl who is pressured by her mother to become something she doesn’t want to be. Jing- mei , the daughter, is forced to become a prodigy(child actress), by her mother, and she doesn’t want to be one. In the story, Jing- meis’ mother uses allusions such as Shirley Temple to push her into becoming a prodigy. Although at first Jing- mei is excited to become a prodigy, she later realizes its something she just doesn’t enjoy doing. Consequently, the uses of allusion in the story help Jing- mei discover to not be a prodigy and that what her mother wants for her is not always important.

The Hidden Hills In the past century, women have started to stand up for themselves and do what they want regarding their body. Men previously have made all the important decisions, controlled women, and really only saw them as objects or entertainment. Slowly but surely, however, women gained their power and voiced their opinions for what they wanted. This can be seen in Jig’s character in Ernest Hemingway’s “Hills Like White Elephants.”

Stephanie Plum, Morelli, and Ranger are three main characters in the book, One for the Money, by Janet Evanovich. Stephanie is a young woman struggling to get by in the city of Trenton, New Jersey. After losing her job, she goes against her family’s request and gets the dangerous job of a bounty hunter. She gets assigned Joe Morelli, who was accused of murder and who happened to be a childhood enemy. Stephanie is very inexperienced and receives help from a professional bounty hunter, Ranger.
