I feel they should not remain on-soil once they were emancipated if they wanted to be free for good from slavery. He also believed women should be allowed to participate in the anti-slavery society. Abolitionists argued against slavery because of its harsh conditions being stuffed into the hulls of a ship like cargo. It was illegal for them to learn reading and writing. Finally, working conditions were long and hard, especially for field workers, and violence was an ever-present part of life.

On October 19, 1735 at Braintree, Massachusetts, John Adams was born. After being named after his father John Adams was set out to following in this father’s footsteps. That’s why, at age six, he was sent to Dalme Belche’s House, where he was taught arithmetic, reading, and religion. At age eight he attended Braintree’s Latin School to prepare for Harvard. To continue his dream to Harvard his father hired Joseph Marsh.

William Marbury one of the recipients that was chosen by John Adams, refuse to accept Jefferson’s decision and took matters into his own hands. The facts of the case were vividly sought out, Marbury was to be appointed as justice of peace and his paperwork was completed and ready to be submitted before he could take office.

The American Revolution was a very important thing that happened in history. John Adams played an important role in the American Revolution. He Adams was a strong proponent of reasoned appeals for justice and formal protest, rather than mob action, he helped navigate the Treaty of Paris which officially ended the American Revolutionary War, and he played a role in persuading congress to declare independence. Adams was well known for his brilliant mind and passionate patriotism. He was a leader in the Continental Congress and an important diplomatic figure, before becoming America's first vice president.

He agreed that it was not right of Jackson to initiate military action, but argued that the American people would be greatly upset by a court-martialing of Jackson, their hero. When the Americans escaped from Europe they knew what they were doing was not the right thing to do but in order for them to have their freedom they had to do what they had to do. Many of them persevered and they reached their goal, which was to get away from the British so they could start off their new lifestyle. They can also look back to Abraham Lincoln and how he was the main reason how black people received their freedom. If it was not for him then maybe it would have taken a little more longer for black people to gain their freedom and respect.

When he then graduated in 1755, and study at Harvard University. At the age of 20, John Adams was studying in law to become a lawyer.

John Brown could be identified as either one however, I believe he is a terrorist. I agree that slavery that slavery is wrong and that it should be terminated but I do think his actions should not have been so vague nor violent. Another patriot who proved he was a hero was John Hancock. He did so by signing the Declaration of Independance. The document had been written for the purpose of declaring the colonies separate and independent from Great Britain. The main point of this article that John Adams is trying to let the reader understand is that everyone should have equal rights under the law of the Declaration of Independence. Adams is saying that whoever holds the power has the freedom, and he wants the people not in power fight to get the same power that those in charge have. In “Liberty and Knowledge”, Adams writes “Let the bar proclaim the laws, the rights, the generous plan of power delivered down from remote antiquity-inform the world of the might struggles and numberless sacrifices made by our ancestors in defense of freedom.” This quote is saying that the rights that people hold in the United States was given to them was not just handed to them. He played a great role in many historical events that had great impacts on slavery and the blacks. He had been of great importance when it came time to pass three of the amendments. Firstly, the 13th amendment, eliminating slavery and any involuntary servitude. Next, was the 14th amendment was stated that all citizens who were born in the United States were to be granted citizenship in the U.S. Finally, The 15th amendment gave citizens the right to vote no matter what color or gender.

In The Amistad, John Quincy Adam’s Speech defended the Africans and argued that they should be granted their freedom. His words drew many people approve that everyone has their own right. His skillful arguments convinced the court to rule in favor of returning the Africans to their native country. One of John Quincy Adam’s speeches was, “The District Judge, contrary to all the anticipations of the Executive, decided that the thirty-six Negroes brought before the Court were freemen; that they had been kidnapped in Africa; that they did not own Spanish names; that they were not correctly described in the passport, but were new Negroes fully entitled to their liberty.” He stated that those people, who were born in Africa, were free men.
