Change in personality is very normal in humans. All of us are changing, just like us Lady Macbeth and Macbeth have major changes in personality. We see Lady Macbeth is very passionate about what Macbeth tells her in the letter. After he comes back we can see that she really wants to be able to get the throne for him. Lady Macbeth is a very passionate, strong and dominant person. The relationship between Macbeth and Lady Macbeth changes drastically as time passes. Lady Macbeth is very powerful compared to many women at that time. Lady Macbeth wants to become a man in the start where as in the very end she is very feminine.
We see Lady Macbeth's ambition in act 1 scene 5 while reading the letter from Macbeth. She seems to like macbeth's idea of killing duncan to get the throne. “O, never, Shall sun that morrow see!” (act 1 scene 5 line 63) this is not long after she read’s the letter she did not think about what was Macbeth's idea. As soon as she reads the letter she decides that she wants to kill duncan and get his throne. “ we will speak further” (act 2 scene 5 line 72). She regrets her decision of killing duncan because he resembles her father when he sleeps. “He could not miss’em. Had he not resembled my father as he slept, i had done’t.” (2.2 line 15-16).She still does not seem to have guilt of any kind, there is some regret but still no guilt. “My hands are of your colour, but I shame to wear a heart so white” showing no guilt. Instead she questions macbeth's manhood “But i shame to wear a heart so white”. She expects macbeth to have no feeling which we see as the play goes along has been done.
