According to ADRP 6-22, “candor and integrity must always be the hallmark of a strategic leader to earn general trust.” Trust is especially important in a joint environment because there is a heavy reliance on others to achieve outcomes. Many of these officers are given tremendous tasks that have life-altering results for the followers within the organization. Therefore, leaders must demonstrate good character, presence, and intellect in order to establish trust while working with others both inside and outside of the
Lastly, the final component of the Relational Leadership model is process oriented. Under this component I believe my group lacked this aspect the most, at times it was extremely difficult to work together to fulfill the goal of the group. Although we all had the same goal to convey to the best of our abilities the problem of structural racism along with receiving a good grade on it somehow we lost sight of how to execute the project so we can all receive a good grade as well as raise awareness on the

In developing this paper on leadership, I examined what was most important to me as a leader. Within this context, several researches have examined the theme of leadership focusing on the reason behind the choice of following a leader.
When the team’s performance expectations are met, there should be rewards and recognitions so as to encourage them to continue their great performance. If we consider leadership as a process it means that it is a transactional event that happens between leaders and their followers for the purpose of a common goal. Leadership is about directing a group of people toward the accomplishment of a task or the reaching of an endpoint through various ethical based means. Leaders and followers share objectives, meaning that they work together to achieve the shared objectives. For a leadership process to take place the leaders and followers have an ethical responsibility to attend to the needs and concerns of each other in attaining the goals.
