When he was 15, he was sent to Florence Italy to become an apprentice to Andrea del Verrocchio ("Leonardo da Vinci"2023) One reason why Leonardo da Vinci is widely considered one of the greatest artists of all time is the diverse range of experiences he gained throughout his life. For example, when he was only 15 years old, he was sent to Florence Italy to become an apprentice to Andrea del Verrocchio. This experience not only exposed him to some of the most advanced artistic techniques at the time, but also allowed him to work alongside some of the most talented artists of the time. As a result, Leonardo was able to capture his skills and develop his own style, which would later be reflected in his incredible art pieces. Therefore, it is clear that Leonardo's experience as an apprentice in Florence played a significant role in shaping his artistic abilities and ultimately was one of the greatest contributors to his status as one of the greatest artists in history. The fall of the Roman Empire during the Middle Ages had significant consequences for the world, including the loss of many advances in science, art, and government that had been achieved during the past centuries. This period, also known as the Dark Ages, was marked by a general decline in artistic pursuits, as much of the knowledge that had been gained during the Roman Empire was lost. However, this also had a huge impact on people like Leonardo da Vinci, who were able to interpret and capture the knowledge that had been lost and use it to better their own work. As a result, Da Vinci's incredible range of talents as an artist, inventor, and scientist were shown as a reflection of his ability to take the knowledge and experiences of previous generations with his own creativity. Humanism was the idea that emphasized the value of education in various subjects, including arts, literature, and science, which was a big factor in shaping the various pursuits of the Renaissance era. At the heart of the Italian Renaissance was the philosophy of humanism, which placed a great emphasis on the value of human knowledge and achievement. (“The Italian Renaissance” 2023) Humanism was a response to the insistent and fixed worldview of the medieval period. Instead it emphasized the importance of broad learning, curiosity, and the chase of knowledge across multiple different things.
He made many achievements that had changed history. Leonardo da Vinci was one of the greatest masters to have ever lived in the renaissance. He had talented gifts that got improved by good education. It didn’t take him long to become a master at the age of 14. Da vinci’s gifts and talents developed and grew stronger over the past years.
Leonardo da Vinci was an unparalleled genius who revolutionized science in his own time and continued to inspire great minds to this day. He had a wide range of interests and talents that extended far beyond painting, sculpture, engineering, and anatomy. Da Vinci's pioneering nature drove his work in numerous fields like no other before him; he was a force to be reckoned with! His innovations and inventions such as the triple barrel cannon made him one of the most famous and influential figures in Renaissance history. He contributed much to our engineering and military technology. His works of art like the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper shaped the Renaissance.
Leonardo Da Vinci was born out of wedlock in Vinci, Italy. Da Vinci desire to learn more. When he was at the age of 15 da Vinci became a painter at the Andrea Del Verrocchio in Florence, that’s where he got most of his skills. When he was there he was so good even intimidated his mentor. While he was painting he was still was interested in inventing.

Da Vinci was such an important figure of the Renaissance because he created brilliant inventions that were ahead of his time, made stunning scientific observations, and created the most famous pieces of artwork known to man. He was raised by his father and his stepmothers and lived with his uncle and grandparents in a Tuscan town. By the age of fourteen, Leonardo was learning a wide range of technical skills, which consisted of, metalworking, leather arts, drawing, painting, sculpting and carpentry. Leonardo was qualified for a membership as a master artist in Florence’s Guild of Saint Luke at the age of 20; there he established his own workshop. In the year 1476, Leonardo was 24 years of age; Leo and four other men were charged with sodomy. This indictment was a crushing blow for him because at the time his name was becoming well known and Leonardo knew his reputation was now at stake.
Leonardo was a highly intelligent man if you investigate him, he did so many important things for the world and some wonder what inspired a man like this to be so great. Here are just a few things that inspired him: Art, Science, Nature, Literature, Music, Architecture and even God. There are few documented records of his formal education, it is believed that he received some education in basic reading, writing, and arithmetic, as was common for the sons of wealthy families during the time. The Italian Renaissance gave way to the rise of humanism in art, embracing the human spirit conveying messages through expressionism, mainly religious. The Renaissance emerged in the 14th century with such artist as Andrea del Verrocchio who took on Leonardo da Vinci as an apprentice. As an apprentice he prepared paints, and surface areas for Verrocchio, educating him in humanities and a range of technical skills (Adams 292). Art and architecture are visible to the human eye balanced between religion and personal expression. Leonardo da Vinci’s talents such as sketching, proportionality and spatial mechanics, linear perspective and master creator of paintings created some of the most famous paintings known to the modern world (Adams 292).
Most people know Leonardo Da Vinci as being painter but he was also a sculptor, architect, engineer, musician, inventor and scientist. Da Vinci was a hard worker and had a creative soul that reflected in all his work. From the Renaissance to present day Leonardo Da Vinci work is still admired and constantly influences people all around the world.
