John Rayburn, you are running for the next Congressman of Louisiana. That comes with unbelievable responsibilities and sacrifices, but there is no feeling greater than representing the state you know and love. We have a long campaign ahead of us, which means we should begin discussing our strategy. To preface that, I would like to share some knowledge I have learned through past campaigns. In order to have a solid and successful campaign, we must know all of the fundamentals surrounding us. Everything is a strategy, including how you address the public, if you communicate well through the radio, how many commercials we put on TV and most importantly, you must know how to handle the media and how they can portray you in a completely strewed light, which you must respond to and handle with eloquence. There are …show more content…
I want to shine a light on your squeaky clean past because most politicians can not do so. It is important to let our voters know what a philanthropist you are and that you are in this for the good of the people of Louisiana. We know that media coverage does effect voters by looking at the Trump election. An online article discussing Trump, his relation to the news media, and how it helped him in the election states, “People do not change their opinions without new information. People do not suddenly decide, for no reason, to support a candidate they hadn’t previously supported. For Trump, a lot of the relevant information came from the news media. It is why Republicans came to see him more favorably in the initial months.” If you can get as much as good news coverage towards the beginning, the public will believe you are a good guy, whether or not they vote for you, is for you to persuade. The limits to this are the same as all of the others, no matter how good the public believes you truly are, strong partisan attitudes cannot usually be
I have come to address a major problem that our people have been facing. The white men are taking everything from us, they have taken our life, our language, our families, culture, and now our land. When will it stop? We can’t even fight back, because if we do, not only will we get killed, our culture becomes destroyed as well. Look at the Cheyenne tribe, they try to fight for their rights and what do they get?
In the State of Tennessee, ever so often qualified voters head to the polls to vote for our public officials. For some like Campbell County Mayor E.L Morton, election day determines whether he keeps his current job, or whether he will soon be drawing unemployment; however, for others like Sue Marlow, an Eligibility Counselor with the Tennessee Department of Human Services, election day is the day that she gets to vote for the person who she thinks is best for the office. Both Morton and Marlow are examples of how a person should exercise their civic responsibility. Current first term Campbell County Mayor E.L Morton, has been a public servant for most of his life, serving in the U.S Army, Executive Director of the Campbell County Chamber of
Candidate Bruce Livesay basis his platform entirely off of the concerns of those within his ward and wants his platform to not be seen as his own but to be seen as the people’s
Recently it has come to my attention that you, the general population, believe that the Louisiana Purchase was a waste of time and resources. I am here today to tell you that you are wrong by that statement. I have recently returned from our great expedition north and am here to say that what is out there is far better than anticipated. The materials, plants, and animals to our west can only be described as awesome.
I don’t support Yes California, because even though the state has the burden of subsidizing other states and it is making it hard for it’s people, it is not ready for this kind of transition, at least not right now. Yes California can wait a few more years until they can at least make their own currency and be able to fund the UC without needing to rely on federal funds. Yes California’s campaign is something that should be aspired to in the future once they are truly ready for this
“I hereby order you serve a maximum 34 months in Kettle Moraine Correctional Institution” the judge told Deshawn before quickly spinning around his chair, standing up and walking through what seemed to be an invisible door behind him. When it shut it blended rightwith the wall. See, Deshawn was a good friend of mine, more like a brother, and was getting sentenced for operating a motor vehicle without owner’s consent, which was stealing a car. He was never a violent criminal like all our other friends grew to be, just a bad kid. At least I thought.
In the past, leaders like Martin Luther King, Jr. had traveled from city to city helping to foster victories. In Cleveland however, Stokes openly disapproved of King’s being there and even asked him to leave. Stokes, himself, saw this as a bold move, but he knew that he had to run this election his own way, without the help, or perhaps accidental hinderance, of King. This is representative of a larger growing feeling that King’s tactics were not as successful as they once were. For one, he was no longer in small cities throughout the South.
Semi-state decides if your seasons ends or you make it to state. State is a huge thing in wrestling. It not like all sports because it 's you by yourself. You worked all season to get to that ticket round match and win. The week leading up to semi-state is very quiet.
Thank you for all you do for our Republican Party here in Delaware. Your energy and support is so important to Delaware’s future! Congratulations on becoming a delegate for the 2016 Delaware State Convention! Because of your passion for conservative values and initiative to better our communities, Delaware is finally poised to stop one party rule. I have shared your passion and fought alongside you since my first senate race in 1994.
Her ideas and strategies are similar to the former elected Attorney General of Massachusetts Martha Coakley. Unlike her Republican opponent, John B. Miller, she makes her position known relating to hot button topics in today’s world. She fought a long and hard campaign against a fellow Democrat, Warren Tolman for the chance to battle Republican John B. Miller, who faced very little opposition being the only Republican in the primary. Due to her campaigning against her Democrat colleague, she was able to receive more media attention, making her a household name and a shoo-in for Attorney General in Massachusetts. John B. Miller may not have gained the stamina that Maura Healy gained during the primary elections, but his campaigning to take the politics out of the Attorney General’s office has caused a stir among the middle and lower class residents of Massachusetts.
If I’m here on TV in front of millions of american adults, it means I have something really important to tell you. Did you ever say, implicitly or explicitly, that the lyrics of African-American songs are inappropriate, especially those of rappers such as N.W.A? Statistics say that 90 percent of our population have, and most of the time it was explicitly in front of black people. Now, did you ask yourself why is the language of African-Americans inappropriate? Statistics say that 70 percent of the american population doesn’t know the reason and thinks that because we are born black, we should be bad.
Purpose: To inform the audience about my trip to South Dakota and why it is my favorite vacation. To inform the audience of the many different places I went and activities that I did while in South Dakota. Thesis: My trip to South Dakota was the most memorable vacation I have been on because of the many marvels the landscape had to offer. I fondly remember diving into history and learning about the historic sites, marveling at the vastness of the Black Hills and Badlands, and gawking in amazement at the beauty and mystery of the caves.
Dear fellow nasty women and bad hombres, America is one the greatest experiments in freedom and liberty history has ever known. We are a nation that was built on the minds and ideals of immigrants. Our Founding Fathers created America so that everyone could have a chance at "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". Those are aspects of my country, I would never change because they are what make us unique. The glow of America casts a ripple of hope upon those who struggle.
Today I'm going to be talking about Melba. The reason why is because she is an important person of why integration ended. To start off she almost died because of a racist people as a young child because the doctor took away her medicine for her to stay alive. Then she wants to attend a all white school Central High. And she gets to because Little Rock is integrating
Jeremy, Ready I’m going spastic: I really don’t need to drink.. or pot.. I think they calmed me down if anything. I always heard if you type in caps it means you are yelling… I don’t yell much in person because I feel if you want to hear what I have to say listen closely.
