Magic Johnson was a great player he was drafted out of college to the Lakers team he played as a point guard even though he was 6’ 9”. Magic Johnson was an important part of the team for the Lakers he ended the season winning the Most Valuable Player Award.

When the Lakers moved to L.A. they became the first NBA team on the West Coast (Los Angeles Lakers). Despite their being no lakes anywhere in L.A., the Lakers decided to retain their name (Los Angeles Lakers).
