“I believe the gun has no power at all.” That was said by Malala Yousafzai, “the girl who stood up for education and was shot by the Taliban.” She is known worldwide as a women’s rights activist, Pakistani, and the youngest ever Nobel Peace Prize winner. Her childhood affected her accomplishments, of which there were many, which in turn affected the world.
Malala grew up in a school. She always loved going to school. Her father was also enthusiastic about school, and opened one of his own, which Malala attended. The school had a rough start, though. In her book it says “Here a girl can go to school,” That’s what she used to say. But the Taliban didn’t like that. Malala continued with her education, and it let her do a lot.
Many women around the world cannot get an education. Malala has done what many cannot. She took a stand and was recognized for it. She was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize in 2013, but did not win. She was nominated in 2014, too, and this time she won. She is the youngest person to win the Nobel Peace Prize. She also won the Simone de Beauvoir Prize, which is for standing up for women’s rights, in 2013. Another award she has collected is the Sakharov Prize for Freedom

In a review from her book by Senator Gabrielle Giffords, from Times magazine’s annual list of the “100 most Influential People in the World”, says “Like millions around the world, I draw strength from brave Malala’s example… Malala is a testament that women everywhere will not be intimidated into silence. Malala is a young girl who has accomplished many things and believes strongly in family. She has spoken out and inspired many. She knew the dangers that followed her actions. She was only 11 years old and she still had enough determination to make a change. There were a few bumps in her road, like when many villagers told her mother the Taliban would kill her father if they found out what Malala was doing. But that didn’t stop her. Of course her family worried but they never stopped her from making a change for the better.
Malala Yousafzai was born on July 12, 1997, in Mingora, Pakistan. Ever since she was a little girl, she knew that their was more to her life than being an everyday housewife. She wanted to go to school. The Taliban feels that women should not have the right to go to school. She became an advocate for young women to have a right for an education which then resulted in the Taliban issuing a death threat against her.

She not only shows the unawareness driven by fright among the people there, but displays how horrid it truly was. Influences of a misinterpretation form of Islam yield the innocent under the hands of the miserable forces of the evil such as the Taliban. Subsequently, the country of Pakistan under Taliban rule has gone through continuous fear and discriminations that strip girls from their education. Malala Yousafzai, a young Pakistani woman who only wanted an education, was obligated to view her life at its worst and at the same time, view the desire and dreams of girls who fight for their education that they have been denied.

Malala Yousafzai is an incredible young woman who overcame many challenges at the early age of 14. She is now a well known international symbol of peace protests. Malala is also known for the book she wrote called “ I am Malala : how one girl stood up for the education of all women and changed the entire world. In her book she connects with the reader by using several methods of rhetoric. She used similes, pathos ,and logos, which made her story connect to the readers and made people see education in a different perspective.
When she did that caused her to get shot in the head by the Taliban because she didn't agree with their laws for women's rights and their education. After she was shot, she was flown away to the United Kingdom where she was able to survive the bullet. Malala is a peaceful girl as before and she like any other girls except she has won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014 in the United Kingdom after her and family moved to escape the Taliban. While Malala is out there helping to save the world only making it better place for them, the Taliban are out there in the world to make it worse with their laws. The only seventeen-year-old Malala Yousafzai is very known for her bravery and her fight for the right of expression in her home country Pakistan, where human rights mostly are suppressed. She is concerned about equality, human rights, peace and the right for education and knowledge in her country but also all over the world. She started running a blog about suppression of human rights, violent attacks by the Taliban and how the Taliban are against education for women in 2009. Many people were able to read it because it has been broadcasted on a web side of BBC. Freedom of speech is a quite difficult topic in Pakistan and soon she became a target for the Taliban.
She is courageous because despite knowing the danger in which she was placing herself, she still never stood down. Brave, educational, and smart are three character traits that describe Malala Yousafzai. Many people know that Malala Yousafzai as a girl that was shot by terrorists, but she is so much more. As a well known activist for female education, Malala Yousafzai showed girls without an education that they should stand up for their own rights. Yousafzai inspired women and girls that no one should be able to silence them and their rights. She left a lasting legacy to all girls that you should not be silenced by anyone.
