People knew this? man by the name of Martin Luther King Jr., but his actual name went by the name of Michael?

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was born January 15, 1968 to Martin Luther King Sr. and Alberta Williams King in Atlanta, Georgia. At age 5 Martin Luther King Jr. entered a public school. Martin was baptized on May 1936. Then when Martin was 12 his grandmother , Jennie, died of a heart attack. This event was traumatic for him.

Martin was born Michael King Jr, on January Fifteenth, 1929, in Atlanta Georgia. He was named after his father, Michael king, but his father had both of their names changed to Martin Luther King Sr. and Jr. Martin had 2 siblings, Christine and A.D., with Martin being nicknamed M.L. His dad worked as a pastor at a church in his town. He did very well in school, so well in fact He skipped the 9th and 12th grades. He attended Morehouse College when He was fifteen years old. He went through college and decided to become a minister.

What leader united people with the idea of equality for both races in a time of grand seperation to the point it was written law? That leader would be Marin Luther King Jr. He was a pioneer with new ideas that should of been implimented as the people ask not get resistance from the entire establishment. When people ask for change from new ideas its best to give it to them.

Martin Luther King junior was a very brave man who fought for the right of his fellow negro Americans. Although all his efforts to free racism and black people go in vain resulting in a assassination attack by a white American being named James Earl Ray. Mr. King as a youngster was set apart from others and racially discriminated and all he had as of friendship were his brothers and sisters. All of his other negro classmates were either slaves or were kept home to avoid the outside opinion.  That's when the idea of being an activist struck his mind.

MLK (or Martin Luther King Jr.) was an african american who wanted the rights for the colored people and his family. Basically it took years of strikes and boycotts and pretty much got what he wanted until his death of an assassin. Today i’ll be talking about MLK Jr’s life story. It all started in Atlanta, Georgia in January 15,1929 where he was born. Now during this time segregation was still in effect and he was raised by Martin Luther King Sr.

In his speech, “I have a dream”, he believed that all men were created equally no matter their , race, sexual orientation, and so on. Martin luther king jr lived in a time where blacks and white were segregated and the black people were discriminated and treated unequally for their race but it wasn't just black people who were treated unequally .

He was a middle child between an older sister and younger brother.

Martin Luther King Jr. said “Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that”. Martin Luther King Jr. was using the word hate as an extended metaphor to the issue of racism. Racism was a major issue of his time, and it still is to this day. He also explains the reasoning as to why the problem of racism hasn’t been resolved.

On August 28, 1963, at the March of Washington. Martin Luther King Jr gave a famous speech, called, “I Have a Dream.” This speech influenced the government to take more direct acts to fully realize racial equality. With this, he managed to achieve progress with the Civil Rights Act in 1964, which forbids discrimination of race, color, religion, gender, and national origin. He also managed to achieve the passing of the Voting Rights Act in 1965.

“Ben, make sure you play Take My Hand, Precious Lord in the meeting tonight. Play it real pretty.” The last words Martin Luther King ever said before he died to a tragic ending of his life. Martin’s assassination was unjustified because he was a man who stood up for justice , equality, and nonviolence. However, many felt that his ability to bring words and ideas to life, to inspire people, and to wake people up were very dangerous in a system built with manipulation and deceptions.

I believe that dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was alive today he would think badly of the 2016 presidential election I'll be supporting this is by using the sources MSNBC News and Charlotte Observer. the main reason which I believe that Martin Luther King would be upset with the 2016 presidential election is that Donald J Trump has a long history of racism towards different kinds of races he also uses racial slurs. and Martin Luther King Jr. supported equality for all types of people not only black even that's what most of you think in this room No offense. The great civil right leader Martin Luther King Jr was born on January 15, 1929. His parents were a pastor(Father) and a school teacher(Mother). Martin Luther King attends schools divided by race at the age of 15. At Morehouse College, his major was in Sociology. Later, King attended Crozer Theological Seminary where he received a bachelor of Divinity degree.

Martin Luther King Jr was a upstander because he believed in all people should be treated the same. An upstander is when a person stands up for people than cannot stand up for themselves. He was the second child to a family of three born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 15, 1929. At the age 15 he was going to college at Morehouse College where he received a degree in sociology.
