As the trees race by in streaks of reds, yellows, and oranges Bailey shifts uncomfortably in the passenger seat. Normally she enjoys the fall car rides, especially when it is warm enough to roll down the windows and let the crisp Autumn air in the car. Though today she was riding with me, but my driving wasn’t what was bothering Bailey. It was the loud music that was racing through my car speakers. The rule that Bailey had put down earlier was that the driver got to choose the music, and she really wished in the moment of the loud guitar solo that had she driven instead. I could tell she almost didn’t think that saving her gas was worth it, so I turned down the music for her sake. She always thought that there was too much going on and that …show more content…
Bailey was dressed in her normal plaid shirt and jean shorts, with her hair in a braid. The judges were almost done assessing all of the entries and I could tell that Bailey was nervous as she played with the end of her braid. A habit I noticed that she did when she was stressed or anxious. I raise my hand over my eyes to try and shield out the sun as I look around. To me it was hot, smelly and crowded, but it felt like home to Bailey. She had always thought that the fair had always smelled sweet like funnel cakes and hay. Finally, after waiting for a while the results were in. Bailey had placed first in the fair for her cookies. Not only did she get first, but she also got second in show, coming in close to a plate of sugar cookies. Thinking back on it now, I laugh a little every time because Bailey had never really liked sugar cookies. And whenever there is the mention of sugar cookies I know that she is thinking about how she should have won that too. As we are sitting in her basement eating cookies and watching the Harry Potter series, I’m glad that we had gone through the ups and downs that we had. I know that if we hadn’t, Bailey and I wouldn’t be the best of friends as we are
She looked beautiful, as she swung on the swings, and as her hair flew behind her. Even as she rushed to comfort the children when they cried, and when she spilled her lemonade all over the picnic lunch, she was still beautiful.
She sat down at the back of the class hoping to be unseen by the rest of the class. A guy sat down next to her. He smiled and said, “You must be new here.” “Yeah,” She said nervously. Her mouth had barely opened when she said that.
When you think of country music what do you think of? Perhaps you think of tall, brown cowboy hats or southern twangs. I think of the Grand Ole Opry. I had the opportunity to attend the 90th birthday celebration this past Saturday. It was a magical event filled with history, laughs, and, obviously, music.
Miss Sadie Miss Sadie no longer sits in her rocking chair on her porch on summer days. But I still can see her. The old chair squeaking with every sway of her big, brown body. Her summer dresses stained from cooking. I smell her sweet smelling kitchen.
“You ready?” Avery questioned. “Wow, your first roller coaster, today’s a good day.” We were waiting in line for a roller coaster at Adventureland- my first and her twentieth- something.
“So what would you like today?” she asked in her cheery waitress voice. “Well I wanted some pie, but the menu only says “pie”no flavors or anything. “Oh, that 's because our cook bakes them fresh everyday and the flavors are based on what she feels like making.” “Well, what is there today,” he asked staring into
Car in the Water Dream The reader who sent this dream to Bellesprit Magazine is a recovering alcoholic, and is a great representation of where they were in their recovery and life. This dream also shows the person walking through their fear, speaking up, and ready to embrace their future. Dream I dreamed that I was driving my car and turned my head to look at the upcoming left turn. I used to take that turn to go to AA meetings.
My youngest sister, Bertha went to mechanical school, before that she knew about cars. A few times she rode in the car with us, she would tell my husband that the car sounds like it needs some certain parts fixed. He would take it to the garage to have it checked out, she was right, the part she mentioned needed to be fixed.
All things in life can be enjoyable but also unexpected. Everyone has their own natural high. My natural high is riding my dirt bike. Even though riding my dirt bike is fun, it can also be very dangerous. It is very important to always wear safety gear while operating an off-road vehicle.
I am getting out of my house to turn on the car… and I am a trying to find the keys for my car and all of a sudden on your keychain that no one else touched there is a new shiny key on it. You wondered what that the key was for, or even how the key got there. You say whatever and you go on…... Today is normal as usual, working hard to earn some money. On my way to my store, there is a crash on the 401, I tried to get google to reroute me so I can get out of this traffic because I am going to be late to arrive at my store.
What is the event? Was the same question I had in mind once I heard we were supposed to attend to it. I had no idea it was an event that evolved bikes and family. It was an amazing event in which people expressed themselves through their bikes. Having the opportunity to volunteer I got to witness many people getting together just riding bikes wither with friends or children and in some cases I would see people with dogs too.
My roller coaster is called the Cyclone. It reaches up to 150 mp/h!!! And the top height is 173". This ride is able for any kids at least 5 foot or adults. The total ride time is 1 min 30 sec, it has a laugh type of hydraulic launch.
The car ride was extremely long and frustrating that we could not get to Omaha, Nebraska any sooner. Our destination proved horrendous for parking. We had to search for miles to find a spot. I was stiff and sore getting out of the car, looking around I couldn’t even see the stadium!
It would be cool to fly a car. When I was little I always wondered what it would be like to fly a car. I told myself that I would make that happen in my dream. In order for that to happen I had to be something in life something that would help the world. An innovator.
When it comes to driving, let me just say; I’m a late bloomer. So to speak. Like everyone else learning how to drive at the ages 16, 17, or even younger, I was too busy being rebellious. Learning how to drive was far from my mind. It’s not like I had anyone to encourage or pull me to the side and say, ‘Hey do you want to learn how to drive?’
