The local police wanted to charge someone in connection with the crime that was committed and they did not care who it was. They did not follow procedures nor come up with any evidence that was solid enough to convict them of the crime form the start. Everything was based on circumstance.
I found it striking the way Vinny went and talked to all the witness before the trail. All of the wittiness’ was sure that see those two boys committed the crime and that was the only evidence they needed for a trail to begin. The DA did have an expert to testify about the tires but was later proven wrong. The credibility of all witness’ was extremely poor for the case.
The scene where Vinny first went and visited Billy and Stan while they were in jail showed how historical this film was. Maybe during that time period, lawyers were allowed in cells with their clients, but in today’s justice system that would never be allowed.
My Cousin Vinny showed the proper way a trail should be conducted. The courtroom proceedings are still at the base of all court proceedings that are being used today in courtrooms. The judge-maintained discipline in court, while allowing the lawyers to questions

The prosecution represents the state/the victims in criminal trials. A prosecutor’s responsibilities are to be professional, seek justice, and strive for the truth. Prosecutors live up to their responsibilities by gathering evidence, collecting witness testimonies, and obtaining other information to present a case against the defendant. Throughout the movie My Cousin Vinny, Jim Trotter is the prosecuting attorney. In the entire movie he is using evidence and witness testimonies to try to get the jury to find Billy Gambini and Stan Rothenstein guilty of killing the clerk in the store.

In the story “So I ain’t no Good Girl “written by Sharon Flakes. I felt like the scene was very realistic, the characters made the scene very realistic by the way they were acting. The author described the scene pretty good when she said: “if I scream at him the whole street could hear me”. I can also relate to the scene in my everyday life. A boy and his girlfriend where at a bus stop with some other girls, And Raheem starts to act a little flirter with the good girls who made his girlfriend kind of upset about the situation, so she tries to talk about it, but he got mad at her and ended up making out with the good girl.

In the historical fiction novel Nightjohn, by Gary Paulsen, the topic of slavery is thoroughly explained. Although Gary Paulsen’s novel, Nightjohn, is considered historical fiction, descriptions of brutal punishments, resistance to conditions, and Determination to learn can be corroborated with multiple sources. The book Nightjohn shows the historical accuracy of brutal punishment as if the people who were enslaved were trapped in a cage with a starving tiger.
The play Inherit the Wind, by, Jerome Lawrence and Robert Edwin Lee, is based and recreated of a famous trail in the 20th century. This trial brought out the tension and controversy when it comes to having an opinion on discussing or teaching the religious biblical views of creation versus the scientific theory of man. Giving it’s name, ‘’The Monkey Trial’’ Hillsboro is a very biased town when it comes to non-traditional aspects. In other words, anyone considered different would be considered an ‘’outsider.’’
The discretion of the case was significant in the regard of the defense, which countered some contradicted evidences. The evidences from the trial and the hearing preliminaries have revealed that the children were coached. The testimony showed lack of credibility on the issues and showing the significance of the discretion on the defense. McMartin told his attorney that he did not do it and his attorney used his discretion and believed him.
The mind and body are constantly working together making it hard to distinguish where one ends and the other begins. In Leslie Bell’s Hard to Get: Twenty-Something Women and the Paradox of Sexual Freedom she brushes upon the battle between these two as seen with women in society. However, in Barbara Fredrickson’s Love 2.0: How Our Supreme Emotion Affects Everything We Feel, Think, Do, and Become the reader observes how the body reacts to love and creates it in an everyday setting. That is of course, Fredrickson’s own unique definition of love. The two essays intermingle to create an interesting array of possibilities for how we become who we are and what determines it.
