A year and a half ago, God brought me kicking and screaming to Ocala from my 47-year home in Orlando. The second Sunday I was here, I came to Church @The Springs.
The first person I met when I walked in the front door was Jacob Sylvia. I told him I was new and that I missed Orlando and I missed working at church each week.
That was ALL he needed to hear. He immediately put me to work greeting, and he partnered me with Muriel Wade--who turned out to be the dearest sister anybody could want. It was an amazing second Sunday in Ocala!
Muriel immediately invited me to her Friday night fellowship group in the home of Dee and Carl Downing and led by Larry Myforth, where they embraced, included, and loved on me. It was amazing.
From there, I moved

I was born again in May 1965. It burdened me. I went to the Lord in prayer for them, feeling woefully inadequate in the face of these beautiful saints praying and believing for their pastor’s wife, Teddi Sylvia.
At first, I thought, “Ok, when the student is ready the teacher will appear.” However, I quickly came to realize that this was human, soulish rational at work in my mind.
The Word teaches us that faith is the substance of things not seen, the evidence of that which we hope for. These Christians were collectively in committed faith, and it was rich with hope.
A massive leap of faith permeated my heart, and I immediately began following their lead. We saw our pastor’s wife not only come back from the brink of death, but we saw her restored to life and vitality.
Suffice to say that it is my joy and privilege to be a part of such an amazing family of God. My old history is in Orlando and Akron, OH—but, hey, who needs "anything old?" I am getting some new wine, so I quickly got myself a new wineskin right away.
"He who was seated on the throne said I am making everything new! Then he said Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."
Bethel Baptist Church never encountered a challenge like this before. The church accepted an invitation to participate in a mission in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Making an appearance in a foreign environment terrified both adolescents and adults. Even with those uneasy feelings, the congregation quickly zeroed in on the goal at hand in spreading God’s love to this needy region. With events such as church cleanup, food ministry, and disaster relief, the church left with a greater appreciation of life, and how lucky many of the citizens in the United States truly are.
Coaching the Del City Bible Quiz team has been a life-changing experience from the beginning. When I founded the team in early April, my father, a pastor, was nearing the end of his eight-month transition from senior pastor to interim pastor to layperson. This lengthy process involved numerous churches across Oklahoma as well as the unfortunate loss of several friendships. Luckily, the Bible Quiz team became a source of new friendships that helped me through the tough transition.
In Hughes’s short essay, which he ironically titles “Salvation,” he tells the reader about one of his most significant childhood memories. Hughes provides background about a huge revival at his aunt’s church. He flashes forward to the day where he was supposed to be called upon by Jesus and greeted by a bright light his aunt repeatedly tells him about. Hughes recalls that he sat on the mourners’ bench right in the front row with the rest of the unsaved children.
Hello! I just wanted to reach out to you and let you know about the experience I recently had with one of your staff members. I recently came down with the cold that has been going around my office for quite some time. Being that I coincidentally work right next to Dr. Espanol’s office, whom is my primary care. After debating on whether I would even go over to their office to see if I could get in.
Within three months of my great uncle’s death the Church District arranged a series of seminars held on Saturdays and mandated that each church send suitable people to be trained in ministry. Among the subjects taught was systematic theology and homiletics and for about 6 months I along with two others from my church attended every Saturday. Through this system I improved enormously and preached not just locally but in the zone and my confidence grew exponentially. Remembering what the voice had said "Why didn’t you do it? " I threw myself into local evangelism and preached at open-air meetings, went door to door and generally became quite active in the local church and the zone.
Faith is believing there is light when all one can see is darkness. Throughout Hamlet, Shakespeare uses belief as a guiding force for his characters. They are defined by their faith, or lack thereof, and their beliefs lead many of their actions. In this time period, so many people had horrible lives, faith in an afterlife was the only hope in which to keep living. The concept of an afterlife based on how one behaved in life is a defining characteristic of many religions, and Shakespeare uses this belief as the ultimate decision-maker in many character’s actions.
“Faith is a house with many rooms.” “But no room for doubt?” “Oh plenty, on every floor. Doubt is useful, it keeps faith a living thing. After all, you cannot know the strength of your faith until it is tested”
Almost everyone in our youth division was relocated to another site within the same church system and only a handful of us were left in the youth division. Every Sunday we would only have small group discussion and no worship or sermons. I expected myself to welcome the change since there would be so much more free time, but after a week, I felt an uncomfortable feeling deep inside of me. Without the worship sessions and sermons, I felt that an important part of me was missing. On that fateful day, with the five of us left in the youth division, we decided to form our own worship
I live in the state of Scattered Energy! (Forgive my late reply.) How are you princess? Jul’s told me how much she enjoyed dropping-in on both of you. There is never enough time in a day to do what our hearts truly desire and what brings us lasting joy.
My husband and I attended your festival in September. We arrived at your parish as blessings were still going on. We were in line and approached the priest. My husband was behind of me. I told this priest that I have had constant back pain since an accident.
Mr. Bradbury hired Fanny Crosby not only for her “light and informal,” poetry and hymns, but also for her simplistic hymnals. Fanny Crosby’s contribution in hymns was simple, heartfelt, and Fanny Crosby: Love Over Ailment 3 Christ centered. Through her work, many people were saved. In her book, Fanny relays one of these salvation stories: Rescue the Perishing’, as I have intimated, was written after a meeting at one of the New York missions. Sometime after the hymn became known I was at a service one evening and a young man told the story of his conversion.
Thomas had only to see and touch to have a renewed sense of faith. His doubt led to one of the strongest beliefs in the New
I actualized the essence of life by changing thoughts discourteous people and murders and captured memories of past and enjoyment of the current. God's grace remains sufficient, I thought. It was grace that brought Big Guy into the church five years prior to being murdered on the streets where only a few years before he had been “kingpin” and a non-believer. I recalled the day of his salvation, when he said: “Man, I want to learn like you and before I die have the right relationship with God. Man, I should have been dead and it is just a matter of time.

I decided for the 2017 Miss Indiana’s Outstanding Teen pageant my platform was going to be “Have Faith”. Everything I did on and off the stage would reflect the same love and kindness the Lord blessed me and my family with when he placed Faith in our home. I would spread my message of having faith in every circumstance because you never know what the Lord will do with it and the creation he can make from it. While I went there hoping to leave as “Miss Indiana’s Outstanding Teen 2017” I knew I had a greater purpose and bigger mission than just a crown. For the first time in my life I was unapologetically myself.
