While this concept isn’t new, sins represent how evil can come in many different forms. True evil comes from within and is defined by an action committed with disregard for other living beings; or in other words self-interest. Self-interest is something all humans are born with and often synonymous to the seven deadly sins.

So are humans good or bad? The Lord of the Flies shows us many examples on humans are bad. This is why I believe that humans are instinctively bad. I am not saying we are not good but when the situation is right our savage side comes out and it shows that humans are

In the book The Lord of the Flies by William Golding, Simon would be the best leader. There aren’t an immense amount of qualities in Simon that some might see as leader material. He’s different compared to the others, though all the boys are unique in their own little way, he stands out the most. Society corrupts In the novel, “Lord of the flies” by William Golding, Golding demonstrates that civilized humans can go corrupt when they’re exposed to uncivilized activity. The novel talks about British boys who were all civilized and got in a plane crash that landed them on an island where they had to do to survive, but without adults or rules to keep them in check, they became savage. This proves that your surroundings can change the way you behave. Golding demonstrates in his book that man is born innocent and is corrupted by society.
