Soldier, sniper, and caring friend are 3 characteristics that describe Chris Kyle. Many people know that Chris Kyle was a gunsman for the U.S. but he did so much more for our country as well. As a well known SEAL, Chris Kyle became the most lethal sniper in U.S. history and left a lasting legacy by protecting the U.S. marine’s lives with overwatch protection. Texas introduced hunting, religion, and gunery to Chris Kyle in his early life. He was born on April 8th in Texas and had a lovely childhood wanting to end the world’s problems. He strengthened his religious beliefs by going to church every Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday evening. His parent impacted his life because they were people of strong faith. His father is a christian priest and his mother is also a church volunteer. His childhood activities, his peaceful religion, and his family all describe his early life growing into a Navy SEAL. The Navy impacted him in many ways. His military career was very special. In his overall career he had accomplished 160 legalized kills but according to his fellow colleagues, his kill count is non exaggeratedly double that number. As a SEAL he served 4 deployments in Iraq as a sniper. Kyle’s job in the Navy way mostly to provide overwatch protection for marines. His overall career with the Navy impacted him but he received many awards in the military too. He has received many awards in the Navy. These awards consist of 2 silver star awards and 5 bronze star awards. His longest confirmed kill was 2,100 yards away which is almost 21 football fields away. It was so far that it exceeded his scope range so he eyeballed it. Also, he once killed 2 people with one bullet while they were riding on a motorcycle. Some of his injuries changed his life both in negative and positive ways. He had a major impact on his life was when he received an arm injury from a bronco busting contest. He thought this this was going to affect the way the recruiters might look at him. He had doubts whether or not he might be able to join the military. He also got shot in the head and back which made him temporarily blind. Fortunately, the places that he got shot were very protected. Sadly, not just physical injuries made up his life problems. After some of his injuries he went through lots of heavy illnesses. Probably because he witnessed so many deaths of fellow SEALS. He suffered from depression and stopped working out at the gym. He gained weight and got terribly out of shape. Physical injuries and illnesses both contributed to his life problems. The end of his military career impacted him by having free time to himself which he mainly spent with his family. It also gave him time to take on other careers. He wrote a bestselling book about his life called “American Sniper”. He also founded a security company called Craft International that is marked with the motto. “Despite what your momma told you, violence does solve problems.” After that, he launched a non-profit foundation called FITCO Cares Foundation which supplied fitness equipment to wounded veterans.
