Kids are important because they grow up to be adults with power. They need to be taught how to make well-informed choices. We can teach them these things in children 's church. Teaching k-5th allowed me to help others grow, and to give back some of the lessons I was taught. My church also let me lead them in worship, allowing people feel closest to God during worship. The music allows them to open up to Him and relax. Playing guitar on the worship team helped prepare the congregation for the day, which would help them with their whole week. These were wonderful experiences, but Feed Knoxville was the most meaningful to me. The goal was to raise one million cans of food for the homeless, which we were able to do. It felt great doing
In summary, on 09/21/15 at 0418 hours I was patrolling the area of 1600 S. Laramie Ave., at which time I observed a male subject with a youthful appearance walking northbound 16th Street. I made contact with the subject, at which time he identified himself as (Rosas, Alexis DOB 04/21/97). While speaking with Rosas, I detected a strong odor of fresh cannabis emanating from his person. Rosas related he had some cannabis in his sweater pocket. I recovered a silver box containing a green leafy substance from Rosas ' right sweater pocket.
Marching band taught me how to love again. A past band member who had actually been right in front of me for the past five years was standing on the sideline that night and somehow I believe that God placed him in my life to show me that my future is right in front of me. If it would not have been for my boyfriend waving at me one year ago, I do not really know how my life would have turned out. When Alex came into my life everything shifted, I actually had something to look forward to every morning I woke.
Whenever my mom has company at her house, guests always ask about the plaque that hangs in the living room on the wall. It reads Championship Mvp, 14-0 season, Jonesboro Wildcats. My mom always smiles and says, “Ask Markus about it.” I don’t mind telling people about the championship game. It is after all one of my fondest memories playing sports.
Meet my Jazz band. This is a picture of us in New Orleans my junior year during spring break to play Jazz. I decided upon this picture because this band has had such a profound impact on how I frame my future. My connection with music through the piano has been fostered ever since I could reach those shiny black and white collection of keys. Starting at the age of four, playing the classical music of Mozart and Bach was what my musical background was founded upon, with tangible medals and accomplishments as achievements.
Just Another Day in Boonsboro It was just another day in Boonsboro, Maryland. I drove on 34 like I do every day. I saw the same police officer parked at the edge of the police station attempting to scare citizens into slowing down. I drove through the narrow streets full of quaint townhouses and came to a stop at one of the three stoplights in our town.
Over the summer I traveled to Tennessee to see my cousins. The day we arrived, we visited Lake Winnie, an amusement park with tons of rides with a water park. It was a joyful day. That day I went on the first roller coaster I 've ever been on. While walking nervously up the steps to get into line with my cousin, I felt the adrenaline rushing through my body, and I felt very anxious.
I had no idea about what I was going to find in Little Rock. First of all, I have been enjoying my groups company, I feel that we’re more close and united after that trip. Therefore, I liked a lot traveling there with them and I also adored the highway. It’s wonderful to admire nature while you are on the road, it reminded me some speedways in Mexico. For me, one of the most interesting places there was High Central.
Getting down to Nebraska was harsh and the trail was dusty. The children like me had to take care of the animals. Jim, Antonia and myself became really good friends after living next door to each other for a while and we do everything together. When I work, I help my dad to plant and harvest crops and hunt for food. We planted and harvested corn, potatoes, pumpkin, wheat, peas, carrots and tomatoes.
One day Garret and I were going to one of the soccer game to watch our friends play soccer. We were watching the game and we noticed that Zach wasn 't having good sportsmanship and started to trip Jody. Then we saw Jody fall and everyone started to laugh and Jodys knees were all scraped up and he was in a lot of pain. The coach called out west in and he said that Zach did it. Zach came over to the coach and realized that he was going to be kicked of the team for having bad sportsmanship.
I have never really considered Greenville the town where I grew up in. But, it is the place where I have made many changes in my life and grew to be the person I am. I guess I consider the place where I grew up to be home, and I do not see Greenville as a home. My heart has always belonged in Georgia, because that is where all my family lives and I have the most memories with my family all together. When it comes down to it, Greenville is in fact the place I grew up.
This year during college summer break, my friends planned a trip to Dallas, TX to visit the place, where former US President “John F Kennedy was assassinated. President Kennedy was shot dead on November 22,1963 by Lee Harvey, Oswald. Dallas is a three-hour long drive from Houston, TX. All of us were excited for this trip. The trip was a success as for all of us it was a learning experience, as we visited the historical landmark of US history which has influenced us all.
It was the last inning in our all-star game, and we were losing 10 to 8. Our team had 2 outs and we couldn’t get the third. Our pitcher was doing bad, throwing all balls, while all of us in the field were tired, ready to fall asleep at any moment. There goes another walk. They score again.
As I peer through the thick smoke, reminding myself why I chose to come in the first place, I see a half dead man on the floor- begging for water. We don’t have enough food or clothes. There are very few of us left to fight against the redcoats. Even though on some days we are cheerful, we are starving and freezing. I am wondering if I should re-enlist or go back home.
Kansas Bound On May of 2010 I went to Kansas City, MO to see my Grandma. This was my first long car ride since I can remember , nine hours going speed limit. First, we were in the rough side of Kansas, mostly because we lost signal and got lost. We couldn’t look out the side of the window or there was a fifty fifty chance we may or may not get shot.
I'm exploring various areas for retirement, which presently includes Raleigh/Durham, and possibly Asheville, for visits up to six months of the year. Hopefully, I will be lucky to meet acquaintances who are similar in age who are willing to connect without the need for a rushed relationship. I would like to settle down but I am realistic and will admit that I am careful. I am hopeful for a mature commitment in the future. An important aspect is flexibility as my lifestyle involves travel, which is unavoidable.
