When I attended school here I made new friends that came from other part of Asia and Europe, I were able to learned about their cultures and why they are here in America. What do you like about California beside the diversity of the state? California is located near the ocean and is famous for the Golden Gate Bridge, Hollywood and its beaches. I had been to San Francisco before, seeing the Golden Gate Bridge was the amazing part of the trip.

If I could get a ticket to go anywhere around the world, I would go to Puerto Rico, Because of the culture. I love the culture for the people and the personalities and also the beautiful scenery. The people on the the island are very friendly. The island is filled with tons of thing to see. To the beautiful beaches in Isabela to old San Juan to the mighty mountains of Moca and to the magnificent water falls of San Sebastian.

As a teenager moving to a new country with a different culture, different language, and being thousands of miles away from everyone I grew up with was not an easy change, however, that was precisely what I did in January of 2013 when I came to the United States with my father. My whole world changed since, and shaped my way of thinking. From learning English, adjusting to a new culture, experiencing my first snow and finding my way in my new country, my life has been an exciting adventure. My parents brought me to America almost 5 years ago to have a better life, and to get a better education.

I am an American male. White my first name is American. And my last name is German my dad was a full blooded German. And my mom was a full blooded Irish. I was born in Cairo, ill back in April 6 the 1962.

I am not American. Yes, I was born here, and yes, I was raised here, but I am not American. My first language was Spanish and I spent my days after school watching Spanish cartoons. Physically, I was in America, but my heart and mind were always in my Spanish heritage. I remember coming into school with my last-night’s-dinner-leftovers lunch every day.

The first eight years of my life, I spent in India where I was born. Growing up I was constantly reminded by my parents that I needed to make them proud by getting a good job and living a good lifestyle. They told me this because they did not want to see me live a hard life like they did. When I was nine years old, I moved from India to the United States of America. The reason why I moved to America was not because I was living a bad life in India, it was so that I could have a better education and more opportunities in life.

I used to have this grudges in my heart when everything go hard that would made me wanted to blame my parent. But I can’t because I was not raise to think that way. When I come to America, I was eleven years old and no one asked me if I wanted to come it just happen in a second. I was in a cold place with extended family that I never met before and that one person who raise me and made me feel secure was still back in the country. I had to lived months without her and next thing you know I adapted and convince myself they are doing this because the wanted the best for me.

Puerto Rico, the city where I was born on a February 28. The land that saw me grow up and became the person that I am today. My parents decide to name myself Shakyra Lee, pretty right? I’m 21 years old now, and this is my third year here in the US. Everything that I love my family, friends and even my boyfriend are back there, but I came here for a reason, college.

Where our country not only gives a home to the Statue of Liberty but can be much like her. Strong willed, patriotic, and leaves a trace of hope when the community sees her. A country who can be led by God and to enlighten this beautiful, free nation. I love the freedom and liberty we hold here. I love that our country has been a country known for the strongest military.

My family has always been very united but one day my dad emigrated to America, I was 5 years old and missed him a lot because I thought he was missing out so many important events of my childhood and all the new things I was going through, but he would always tell me that one day I would come to America and I remember I would get very content about it but as I was growing up I was making new friends, meeting new people and “living life” that I forgot about the idea of coming to America. As years were passing by, my family began to tell me that I had to enjoy every second in my country since it was probably my last year in Honduras and I believed it at first but then it never happened so I was so busy with school that I never thought the day would come. It was July 31, 2013, when I realized that the day my family and I has been waiting for had come.

The Difference of me in Vietnam and United State America is a country with diverse ethnicities and cultures. As a teenager girl has to leave country and study in United State, it was very hard for me to adapt. With these differences, I am able to learn interesting new things from my friends and people I meet. As long as I live in America, I had change a lot of thing such as my lifestyle, eating habits, and independent level.

My Favorite Place to Visit There are many states have I been to in my life. I have made lots of memories with the places I have been to and the people I have went with with. The first time I traveled out of state was when I was three years old.
