Around ten o'clock, the large pacific train came rolling in. I had been waiting on the train for about three hours, because it was running really late. I had to sit there in boredom because my mom took all the data off of my phone because she said that I would pay more attention to my phone than I would in California . The journey to California will take three long horrible days on the train with grouchy babies crying and moms yelling horribly at their kids because they are acting really bad. When I boarded the train I smelt a horrible rotten smell, but I didn’t know where it was coming from. I asked the person if he knew what the smell was coming from and he said that the toilet on the train was backed up because one of the pipes had busted, but they were trying their best to fix it. Just a few minutes after the man had told me that the toilet was messed up they came over the intercom and loudly said “sorry ladies and gentlemen we are having difficulties fixing the toilet and it might take a few days so there will be a bigger black train that will be here in the morning for ya’ll to ride on…” and that was the last I heard as I drifted to sleep. …show more content…
Right after I got ready I heard “All aboard”. I walked as fast as I could to get down to the train. When I finally made it down to the train I gave them my ticket and looked for the best window seat I could find because I want to be able to look at all of the nature on the way there. After all of the people boarded they made us listen to all the boring rules, and when they got done the train left the train station. Later that day we got some really good news that it would only take us two days instead of three to get down to
After a while the conductor turned on his microphone and said that we were skipping the rest of the stops because the train was full. I was delighted because it was getting really noisy in the cart. Then we get to Chicago. We are all both shocked and thrilled by the amount of people walking down the streets.
We were walking down to where the train was and saw a dog it looked just like my stuffed animal one I had. I wasn’t just going to leave it there all dirty and hungry. So I took it with me. I thought maybe they would let us take the dog on the train. So we got on with the dog and luckily they did not say anything about it.
When I was a Sophomore in High School my dad had been out of work for a couple and was forced to take a job in Odessa, TX , so he promptly moved to Texas to start his new job. My mother and I had to stay in California so I could finish high school and so she could take care of her parents. From then on, I was only really able to see my dad for a week every month or two and we were unable to keep the strong connection we had before.
It was a warm, sunny, Fall day and I jumped out of bed because I knew we were going on a trip, but I didn’t know where. My parents took my sister and me to the KCI airport in my mom’s white Denali. We were quietly sitting at the airport when my parents told us that we were going to Disney World. My sister and I were jumping up and down with excitement knowing that an exciting trip was just around the corner.
O is for ocean. I went to the ocean twice in my whole life. I went to Florida and Texas. I went to Florida when I was a baby. Then I went to Texas two years ago when I was eleven.
After what seemed like an hour, I finally ended up on the plane. I was no longer whining because I had a beautiful view on the airplane. Who would know that the trip to Baja California Sur, Los Cabos San Lucas would be the best day of my life. After long hours, we finally got off the plane.
We left the cold and desolate state of South Dakota at 9 in the morning and arrived in the humid state of Florida at 1 o’clock in the afternoon. When we got off the plane it was really hot and humid in the airport terminal that wasn’t very enjoyable but, it didn’t defeat the fact that we were going to the most magical place in the world. After we got our luggage we walked 2 blocks to our bus which was going to take us to our resort. After
The Adams County Fair We were driving up and I had already seen the huge building I asked what it was and my mom said,”it is a demolition derby.” I asked if we could go see how much it costs so we walked over it was $25 per ticket and there was three of us so we couldn’t, so we went and got some ride wristbands, after we got our wristbands we walked around to see what they had, as we walked we saw a Tower of Doom and I asked if we can ride it and she said yes so we walked over and there was no one in line. So we hopped into a seat and got ready to go up we had to wait a minute so some other people could get on. Then the instructor closed the small gate so he could walk around and check our buckles after that it started rising, it was higher than I had anticipated I knew
The morning of March 24th, I left for Florida. The 17 long hours in a car consisted of me listening to music, watching the rain, and trying to enjoy the ride. When we finally arrived at the hotel, the only thing I wanted to do was get out of the car. We only made about 5 stops along the way, most of which were during the earlier hours of the car ride. I wanted to get up, I wanted to look around, I wanted to finally see everything I’d be waiting to see.
The little boy in this photograph is me, when I was on a school trip to Sacramento. He is panning for gold in a pool of water, as many children have before him. Swish, swish, check. It is California, 2012, in the Columbia Historic State Park.
Miranda sanderson Ms.peterson ELA-5 11.6.17 Las Vegas trip My most memorable moment was when i went to Las Vegas. I went with my grandma, my mom, and my sister. We went to there for The Monster Energy Cup. If don’t know what that is, it is moto cross racing.
As I was looking out the window I saw a little dust storm that looked like mini tornado. Then my mom's key battery was low because she took the wrong one,she left the another key that had new batteries in it at the house. So we had to stop at the auto shop. For the rest of the trip me and Ally just binged watched movies on my computer. When we weren't watching moves me and my mom were arguing over the music radio.
I sat on the chilled stone floor, sewing a sock which a hole had formed. A small fire had slowly began to die, not helping with the freezing weather. I refocused on the sock, making sure I stitch it up properly. A door slammed, making me look up. I accidentally pricked my finger, causing me to gasp from the hurt.
When I was 8 years old, my family and I hopped on a plane to San Francisco, California for a family field trip. It took exactly 7 hours to fly from Albany, Ga to San Francisco on the plane, but it didn’t bother me because I had food and took 2 naps during the flight. I was very excited to go to California but I wondered why we were going all the way there and not somewhere closer to Georgia. I ask my mom why we were going there, but she wouldn’t tell me; she said that it was a surprise.
World War 2 was changing everything the people knew and loved. The world had changed and no one knew what to do next. Many places were affected, one of those places was Los Angeles except it was changed for the better. It was an ordinary day in Los Angeles, California. The birds chirped and the flowers bloomed.
