Life is like a soccer game you want a certain result but you never know the end result it can be what you wanted or it could be totally different. MY freshman year in the soccer team was like a soccer game for me i expected to get a bad result but i got a pretty good results with a couple here and there. All the activities and the running in trouts are nearly impossible to live through but even in the soccer games at northbranch and brandon we had to live through it but you have to tough it out.
in mid august we all got a notification on our teams group chat that tryouts were during next 3 days 2 times a day from 8am through 10 am and then in the afternoon 4pm to 6pm. Tryouts were very hard we had to do run a beep test, 12 one twentys,

in my mind i had put a goal for next year to make it in varsity. We did not meet the rest of our team and coach formally until the next day where we would have our first practice. Coach eric had already an idea of what our starting 11, our formation that we were going to use was 4-4-2 diamond, our goalie was braulio, the four in the back were jayden and jared in the center and seth on the right and aron on the left , i was as a cam or a center attacking mid ,carlos and mauricio on the wings and james as a cdm, our strikers were sebastian and javier. At the end we were told when our first game was.
After about 6 games we had a game in north branch where something terrible and good would happen to me. We had been winning by half time 4-0 omar had scored two , alejandro one, and braulio another. About 10 minutes after the second half started i had passed to omar and omar to emmanuel and then emmanuel passed it back to me. I recieved the ball outside the box so i took a touch to the right and then i just swung my leg and the ball howled into the upper 90 and went in i could believe that i made it it felt like the

When we got there we saw a huge stadium for their football team but their soccer field was really bad compared to the football stadium. The whole team was already getting down about the game everyone was saying we were going to lose but i thought we could do it and the coach did too we got straight to warming up.about 30 minutes of warming was all we got before we started the match, coach eric told us who was going to start and i was in it!. Everyone was very happy to start the last match of the season, he said we were the ones he trusted the most to win this game. Our game started well we were passing from side to side, doing one-two’s, and many different plays, but no one had scored in the 75 minutes of playing time that had passed. At around the 85th minute aron passed the ball to james and he passed it to me, then i passed it to jay and he started dribbling up the sideline. Thats when he found a gap and crossed it over ,as the ball soared into the box alejandro attemted a diving header, but the goalie pushed the ball away straight to javier's legs and he didn't even hesitate to shoot the ball. the ball had hit the back of the net and we all started celebrating with him and so did the varsity players that were there to play after we were done. For the rest of the match we defended so they
My head connected perfectly with the ball and I drilled it into the top right corner of the net. There was no way the goalie could get her hands on it. I turned and saw my trainer on the Header sideline and he was going crazy! He was jumping up and down and yelling for me. He threw down his hat in excitement!
I saw a gap between two defenders and I made the run as my center mid played a perfect ball. After the 45 yard run, with a defender on my right side, I realized this is it. The hundreds of road trips, hours practicing, and the pain comes down to this. I took one touch and sent a blazing shot to the back post, upper 90. I stood in awe as I heard the crowd going insane.
Now I knew almost all of the coaches except the freshmen. I wasn’t sure what to expect. I knew we were going to come out and work hard every practice. All I wanted to do was impress the coaches. I had an advantage over all my teammates, I kinda knew what they expected.
“GOAL!” My final kick as a U-14 soccer player ended the game with a score of 3-2. With that game, the team ended its season in second place, a great accomplishment for this motley bunch. As the season came to a close, and we were awarded our trophies, I was already looking ahead to high school. For years I knew that I would attend Bishop Hendricken High School, a school well-known for its soccer team.
Baseball Narrative “Honey how are your ribs?” My mother asked me. “What happened?” My friend Ryan questioned me.
I made the team; however, only made the JV team. Not playing on the varsity team was disappointing and there were times I felt like giving up, but my determination kicked in and I came to realize that, if I continued to work hard and increased my training, my goal was obtainable. Unfortunately,
As an in-coming freshman who hadn’t played on a school team in middle school, I was at a disadvantage because I was behind in skills and didn’t know many of the tricks. Fortunately, the coach saw my potential and I made the varsity team. My coaches and teammates continually pushed me and helped me become an even better player than I was before. Over the course of my four years on the team, I faced several obstacles that made me feel weak and inadequate, but to overcome them I reminded myself that I loved soccer. The biggest obstacle I faced was getting a concussion my junior year.
With the encouragement of my dad, we decided that it was time for me to move to a team that would face better competition and have players of a similar mindset to myself. In the beginning of 8th grade, I had moved to my first club team after being on a town travel team for four years. While this was the right move for me, it was definitely a shock for me to realize that I was no longer the best on my team. I struggled through multiple winter training and conditioning workouts before the season had begun, though I tried to remind myself that this was only helping me in the end. When the first game of the summer season arrived, I was somewhat surprised to find that I was not in the starting lineup or in the field.
It was a Fall night wear the stars were out and all you could ever do is hear coach yelling to stop moving away from our positions. That night we were training for a very important soccer tournament that was only a couple weeks away. Coach smith liked to win but i think what he liked most was that we tried our best. We were a very hard team to defeat but we had our moments where we would lose games by a landslide.
Our record was 1.0 and we were looking for the win to be 2.0. Every game I have a goal, and that goal was to score the biggest touchdown of the game, but the team we were going against probably wouldn 't let that happen. But who cares I still believed I could do it. Before the game we had to do a roster check to make sure that we were all on the team.
I was there to win a place, to compete with someone else for a squad number, to tussle with another for a spot. Thus, with too much pressure on my shoulders, I couldn't be me that day. Heck, I couldn't be me for the whole of tryouts. Looking at players that were much taller and stronger than me, I lost confidence in my ability and failed to express myself. So it wasn't surprising that, at the end of tryouts, my name wasn't on the team
I notice one of my teammates Sebastian scoring and the whole team starts celebrating. As five more minutes pass and finally remember hearing the final whistle and I see everyone celebrating as we have won the championship. As we were done celebrating and packing our stuff we went in a room where I could see the big
It was very emotional afterwards, it was very quiet the next day at school. Coming into the next season we weren’t for sure who our coach was going to be and how hard he was going to be on us, the first day of tryouts was all about conditioning and seeing who was a hard worker. After the three difficult days of tryouts, our coaches came and talked to us, he rated us on a scale from 1 to 10 on how we were, if you were rated below a 5 then you got cut. Not many people got cut though, when we had our first practice as a team it was all about defense, we had
With my speed I started dashing on the edge of the field all the way to side of the goal. I quickly evaded the defender and in the distance I heard “ Cross the Ball” said Player Number 1 . With all the force I possessed in me, I punted the ball to my teammate and with his strength he leaped to head the ball into the goal and scored the first goal! Everybody was celebrating, but we still knew that this wasn 't the end.
On the last day of tryouts, all fifty of us were to find out what team we had made, or for the few girls, that they were getting cut
