When I was young my family and I lived in Spokane Washington. I have lived my entire life in Spokane, Washington up until now, I spent 10 years there and it was a pretty amazing experience before moving to California. In Spokane there is a lot of snow during the winter, it would get very cold! Sometimes it would go into the negative degrees. I have 3 other siblings and we would go outside and play in the snow all the time, the snow would pile up so much it would be about 4 feet high. We had a huge hill on the side of our house, we would always build snow jumps and take our snowboards/sleds and ride down super fast and go off the jump and land in the snow. I had a lot of fun doing other things in the snow like building snowmen, snowball fights, …show more content…
When I moved back, California was a new adventure for me. Most of the time it is always sunny and has nice weather I am in love with the California weather but sometimes I miss the snow and all the fun I had. When I moved to california I was going into the 5th grade and all my life I was in the same school so I knew everyone and I had a ton of friends but Since I was moving to a new school this was a big change in my life because I had to meet new friends and get out of my comfort range. When I moved to the new elementary school I was surprised at how nice the kids were and how many kids wanted to be my friend. The school was very welcoming and It was easy for me to adjust I had a great year there and it prepared me for middle school because I had already made tons of friends. After that it was pretty easy to make it through middle school up to this point and hopefully I will be able to keep going like this. My life had been pretty good so far and hopefully I can achieve my goals and look forward to my
We moved here because my dad got a new job. He had to move from California to Newton. It was okay at first since we had a few family members, but after I had to go to school, I was already regretting my whole life. Until, I met some nice great friends. Then it got better that 's why I think that Newton is a great city to
We stayed there until the spring of fifth grade. Know I live in my still incomplete house on Glen Dr. Looking back to my childhood (well I still am a child), some good memories are with my mother in the spring sitting on our porch drinking coffee. Yes, I have drank coffee since I could sing, because my mom made us sing for a sip of coffee. We would also watch the storms come in on our porch because my mom has always loved storms and it is something that I enjoy with her.
But overall the people are nice here. But it a great experience to go somewhere new. I also have lived in New York for a year or so. When it comes December it starts to snow and it gets really cold. The snow is really soft it feels like a pillow.
California offers warm, dry summers and mild wet winters. A California resident can enjoy outside activities year round-with winter temperatures dropping at least to 50 degrees. If you are a person that does not like the cold and wants the perfect temperature (not to hot/not to cold) California might be the place for you. On the opposite spectrum is Colorado- with warm summers, yet cold winters with possible snow. If you enjoy the cold/snowy winters with a passion to ski and do other snow activities this weather would be perfect for you.
We took only the essentials and traveled to New Orleans, where family was waiting to take us in. I didn't like the idea of leaving the only home I had ever known, but I liked New Orleans all the same. During my teen years, I wrestled with the idea of returning to New York, but I found a certain comfort in NOLA and so I eventually decided to stay.
At my old house on 2901 S St. Francis Lane the way in was quite a challenge. When driving in it required many left turns and following twisting rotes. When you got to St. Francis your car wouldn 't require you to gas, gravity took over. The hill would alway be a pain in the winter. When the road was re-paved in the summer of 2010, they said that the rollers had trouble down and over it.
Except for the sporadic earthquakes. Where as in Pennsylvania you really experience all four seasons, winter (snow), spring, summer, and fall minus the sporadic earthquakes. I never truly experienced an earthquake until I moved to California it was quite frightening, and personally, I rather live without the earthquakes. Last but not least, California is the entertainment capital of the world. Hollywood is the place to come to make your dreams come true.
California is a really great state to live in and my memories here is amazing. The main memory that I remember the most is when I spent my time at the Joshua Tree National Park, rock climbing and hiking. As well as memories that I was rock climbing and hiking at random places in the Mojave Desert. One memory when I was rock climbing/ hiking is when me and my older brother almost stepped on a adult diamondback rattlesnake. Luckily it was at the crack of dawn and winter where you can see your breath and feel the brisk cold, thus the snake was sunbathing and didn’t pay attention to us.
Moving from elementary school to middle school meant moving to the other side of the school with all of the high schoolers. I felt like I was becoming older, gaining more responsibilities. In middle school I was reunited with my friend, Coleton Reed. This time, he was in the same grade as me. My favorite part about being in middle school was being allowed to play sports for the school.
Throughout my childhood growing up in Miami Fl, was an amazing experience, it’s unique variety of cultures spread through one city is absolutely mind blowing. Although there was one thing one my mind at all times. One thing I never experienced was living out west and getting away from the Miami life. Its kind of hard to believe someone would prefer living out west, in the middle of nowhere than along a beach shoreline. As a matter of fact, living out west had become one of my priorities when I was making my college decision.
I have lived in two very different places. A small quiet town in Georgia and the big bustling city of Jacksonville, Florida. The amount of activity differs greatly. The scenery also has a stark contrast. I honestly think I liked living in Georgia better than here in Florida.
Moving to a new country can be difficult sometimes. Leaving all my relatives and friends back home was the saddest thing for me. My mother told me that we were moving to a new country. At first, I thought my mother was joking about it. but little did I know that she was telling the truth.
Have you ever felt uncomfortable, nervous, and confused ? These are all the things I felt moving to a new school. I had no idea if I would gain friends or if anyone would like me. Maybe if I had a tour around the new school before my first day I would have not been so disorientated. Going from a one story school to a two story school was hard, having to look down every five seconds to make sure I was on the right hall, or if I was suppose to be upstairs or downstairs.
Moving is always hard. It is harder if you are moving from your birthplace to a culturally different country after spending most of your teenage years. I moved from Bangladesh to New York about a year and a half ago and let me tell you, it was not easy. I had to leave the place I grew up in, my friends and relatives and start a new life here in America. Probably the only good part was that at least I was with my family throughout this hardship.
My Favorite Place to Visit There are many states have I been to in my life. I have made lots of memories with the places I have been to and the people I have went with with. The first time I traveled out of state was when I was three years old.
