Friday night, around 12:00 am, Mason Stokes and Brian Kasaba were around a wooded, shallow grave area off Clemson road, when they saw the skeletal remains of a body, that was revealed by heavy rain, and eroded soil. Spring Valley Brian Kasaba said, “Mason and I were hungry, but my mom wouldn’t let us use the car, so we decided the walk to the store, and get some snacks. We took the back way to avoid crossing so many roads, and out of nowhere Mason screamed so loud. At first I thought he was messing with me because the area was suspicious, but I looked down and saw a bunch skeleton bones, and we both lost it.’’ With all the rain and flooding went on about five days ago, not many people have been on the roads. That’s one of the many reason Brian and I freaked out so much. Also because of the old town story about how a girl murdered her boyfriend.’’ Mason Stokes, also a student at Spring Valley, said. Spring Valley High School has had this on-going rumor that in 1983 a female student, named Lucy Boland, killed her boyfriend named Sam Martin. Apparently, she killed Martin because Boland caught him cheating on her. The twist was there was no body found, so there could be no case. One of Lucy Boland’s old friends, Tracy Vegas, said, ‘’I would say it is crazy that a body was found because that means someone was obviously killed. A good amount of people are talking about Lucy because of the so-called ‘murder’ that happened. It is absurd to try to bring a rumor up that happened 32 years ago. Think about all the killings that could happen in 32

Myra Litton 's corpse ignited conspiracy theories before it cooled to room temperature. It was one of those desperate February days during the drought-ending winter when feeling merely sullen would have been welcome. The snow that had knocked my satellite dish off kilter a few days earlier, depriving me of television and Internet, had melted enough to lure me into making the seven mile crawl into Iris to pick up my mail. At the Iris Store I pushed into a dank huddle of wet plaid that was crowding the porch, just in time to hear Julie Alquist relate how her husband, a volunteer EMT with the fire district, was the first to arrive at Myra 's house after the UPS driver reported seeing someone on the floor.
