December 3 2015 was the Newton Railers seventh grade basketball team second away game. I was waiting all day for the basketball game it seemed like the day was endless. Finally 2:50 came up on the clock to let me know it was time to leave class and get ready to get on the bus. I got all my gear and got on the bus. I put my headphones on a got pumped for our game.

On Monday February 6th, I had the privilege to attend the Kansas vs. Kansas State men’s basketball game which is an annual rivalry between two of the top programs in the state of Kansas. The Sunflower Showdown is a series of rivalry games throughout the year between Kansas and Kansas State in multiple sports such as football, basketball, and baseball. The two teams have a long history of hostility and bitterness and this night was just another one in a long line of classic games. With 3 minutes left the chiefs scored I was so excited. My pulse was like a race car,but the score was 18-16 and we needed to score this conversion. In Friday 11 November I went to the volleyball game of Florida Gulf Coast vs Kennesaw State and it was super fun, it made me feel super excited about my university because I was there supporting the team. The game began and firts I saw Florida Gulf Coast that jumped on the Owls early in the first set and used that early advantage to gain a 1-0 lead in the match; at this moment I felt tension both in the team and on the part of the coach and I can not deny that for a moment I thought the game was lost, but then I concentrated on thinking that there was still a lot of time left. My eyes sprang open like a mouse trap as the obnoxious noise of my alarm clock went off at five a.m. Usually I would just sit there in my pitch black room wanting to go back to sleep,but today I was ready for the game in twelve hours. I was thinking about it all throughout school,and talking to it about with my friend Kyle. He had zero confidence in us which made me kinda disappointed after all that training we did. Later when I arrived at the destination I went straight to the locker room in the back of the school.

On a warm Saturday morning at four in the morning and I could hear my mother washing clothes outside. I could hear the water splashing on the ground as my mother was shouting at my sister to wake me up. As soon as I was awake, I got ready for practice because, every game day, we would wake up early so we could go jogging as a team. I met up with my teammates at our team captain’s home to wait for our coach. When he got there, he told us that we were jogging to the beach, which was a surprise to us because this was an important game for the team and he decided to take us to the beach to practice for it.

Home Water gushed down the cracked sidewalk into the drain, the freezing droplets raced down from the clouds above. Walking through the rows of parked cars, John looked up at the immense TV screens that over looked the congested parking lot, blaring car horns piercing his ears. Trash flooded over the disgusting rims of the cloudy gray cans. Chains of people rushed into ticket lines, each person eager than the next to get in. The sun was falling out of the sky as the temperature dropped below freezing.

Oh god. No! Leave me alone, please! My thoughts were as frantic as my shallow breathing. My body curled in a fetal position against the door between us, panic was rife throughout my entire body as my trembling hands covered my ears to block out his words.
