I have been waiting since the start of summer for this day, the day to go against Topeka West the school that have been talking stuff for the longest. There was so much hype about this game and it was finally here, when the bell ringed at the end of the day i rushed out of class and got on the bus to head over to chandler our practice field. When we got there we all the football players loaded off the bus and when we got off there was a table of chips, water, gatorade,PB & J and fruit snacks so we didn’t play on an empty stomach. After we ate and got ready coach talk to us for a little bit and then we got on the bus to head to Hummer sports park, it was a loud bus but i don 't think coach cared because we was hype going to play t-west. Topeka high and Topeka west have been rivals for ever in almost every sport but mainly football. So we got drop off by our bus driver at Hummer sports park.We go in the locker room to get dress to go do our stretches so we don’t pull anything and to get ready for our game so …show more content…
Our first two drives we scored and they did too so it was 14-12. We was up we was yelling as we got ready to kickoff i sprint down the field and hit the ball carrier, we both slid on the 30 yard on line and i got a turf burn and turf in my mouth it tasted like sour rubber. I looked up as the guys face was all red from embarrassment we went off the field. Our offense scored on the first play of the drive and we got the 2 point conversion, so the score was 22-12 we was up. Then we just scored and scored so at the end of the game it was 54-12 they never scored again we shook hands, and all i could hear was the crowd cheering for us. After that we got on the bus to head to chandler to get out things and head home. It was a short and loud bus drive to chandler. It was a happy day we all went home with smiles on our faces and we beat west everyone was happy I went home ate took a shower and went to

On Monday February 6th, I had the privilege to attend the Kansas vs. Kansas State men’s basketball game which is an annual rivalry between two of the top programs in the state of Kansas. The Sunflower Showdown is a series of rivalry games throughout the year between Kansas and Kansas State in multiple sports such as football, basketball, and baseball. The two teams have a long history of hostility and bitterness and this night was just another one in a long line of classic games. Both teams entering the game were sitting in good contention for the NCAA tournament and Kansas held a No. 3 ranking in the polls, the game earlier in the year in Lawrence played a key role in the attitude the fans held coming into the game. Kansas won that game by
It was a humid morning in Lawrence, Massachusetts as our second football scrimmage of the year was set to begin. My heart pounded as Coach Stevenson called me into the
At the time we were fighting for our team 's playoff lives and if we wanted any chance of going there, we needed to win this game and we did, in overtime. Once it was all over and set in stone, I just collapsed to the ground in exhaustion and just completely overwhelmed with emotion.
None of us were happy; we knew we were too good to not still be practicing. We could all see the seriousness on our coach’s face. We had no clue what we were about to be told. Inside we were all hoping he was about to tell us a team cheated and we were going to make the playoffs in their spot like seen in many movies. We all knew this wasn’t
This was the big game that we were all looking forward to. This team that we are playing are our rivals. If we were to win this game then we would be region champions. We all got into the bus and put our headphones in. No one said a word to anyone.
My Theme Song Songs can connect with how we feel and our experiences. Music has been a major part of my life ever since I was just a toddler. For me music has helped me express what I am feeling and who I am as a person. My therapy has been music, it has helped me through almost every problem I have faced. With listening to the song lyrics, we can get a true understanding of what the artist is trying to tell us.
The next day as I come sprinting around the corner of the store, I see this guy covered in makeup. The first thought racing through my head is “it’s Michael Jackson” ,but then I think there’s no way! As I’m galloping home through the park I see this person singing “I want you.” It sounds exactly like Marvin Gaye, but why would he be in town? At last I get home
With 3 minutes left the chiefs scored I was so excited. My pulse was like a race car,but the score was 18-16 and we needed to score this conversion. As the quarterback snapped the ball it felt like the whole world stopped and the play was in slow motion. We scored I couldn’t believe it I thought the game was over I was as happy as a young boy on Christmas, but when I looked at the tv there was a foul and the points didn’t count I was so upset that ruined my day I didn’t say a world the rest of the night I just wanted to leave the Lakers game I cried myself to
The games is over its 42 to 20 and after that we all went to golden corral and had fun. The next week we were going against the green bay and i was so hype we were going against the best team ,WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In Friday 11 November I went to the volleyball game of Florida Gulf Coast vs Kennesaw State and it was super fun, it made me feel super excited about my university because I was there supporting the team. The game began and firts I saw Florida Gulf Coast that jumped on the Owls early in the first set and used that early advantage to gain a 1-0 lead in the match; at this moment I felt tension both in the team and on the part of the coach and I can not deny that for a moment I thought the game was lost, but then I concentrated on thinking that there was still a lot of time left. Needing to bounce back in the second, Kennesaw State gathered strength and began to put more spirits to the game and the whole public began to cheer up. FGCU ended up having a
My eyes sprang open like a mouse trap as the obnoxious noise of my alarm clock went off at five a.m. Usually I would just sit there in my pitch black room wanting to go back to sleep, but today I was ready for the game in twelve hours. I was thinking about it all throughout school, and talking to it about with my friend Kyle. He had zero confidence in us which made me kinda disappointed after all that training we did. Later when I arrived at the destination I went straight to the locker room in the back of the school.
On a warm Saturday morning at four in the morning and I could hear my mother washing clothes outside. I could hear the water splashing on the ground as my mother was shouting at my sister to wake me up. As soon as I was awake, I got ready for practice because, every game day, we would wake up early so we could go jogging as a team. I met up with my teammates at our team captain’s home to wait for our coach. When he got there, he told us that we were jogging to the beach, which was a surprise to us because this was an important game for the team and he decided to take us to the beach to practice for it.
Home Water gushed down the cracked sidewalk into the drain, the freezing droplets raced down from the clouds above. Walking through the rows of parked cars, John looked up at the immense TV screens that over looked the congested parking lot, blaring car horns piercing his ears. Trash flooded over the disgusting rims of the cloudy gray cans. Chains of people rushed into ticket lines, each person eager than the next to get in. The sun was falling out of the sky as the temperature dropped below freezing.
Oh god. No! Leave me alone, please! My thoughts were as frantic as my shallow breathing. My body curled in a fetal position against the door between us, panic was rife throughout my entire body as my trembling hands covered my ears to block out his words.
