If an instructor’s education credentials do not match the primary course that he or she is assigned to teach, the department chairs must further review the individual 's backgrounds and credentials and select a special justification as appropriate based on the equivalent training, ability, and/or experience of the instructor. The four special justification options available in the system are (1) having extensive professional experience in the teaching discipline, (2) having extensive research experience in the teaching discipline, (3) having extensive non-degree educational experience in the teaching discipline, or (4) serving as study abroad program director. My core program is Early Childhood Education. During the most recent live lecture (week 4), you stated we were allowed to present out final project on any current event. I am deeply dedicated to ECE, however, the recent accusations against the Wounded Warrior Project has influenced my decision to choose this subject, over my core program. Being the daughter and wife of career servicemen, I am devoted to the interest of our American Veterans. Both my father and husband were disabled American Veterans, both served during war times and both died too young (58 & 54, respectively), due to service connected disabilities.

I am emailing you today because I would like to interview to be a DSCI 302 teaching assistant for fall 2016. I have completed my online application, and my answer to the additional question is below. I would like to be a TA for this class because I have used the TA 's for both my DSCI 202 and 302 classes as a valuable resource and would like to be able to give back. Throughout both classes I went in and met with the TA 's routinely to insure that I understood the material fully and had the information necessary to be successful in the classes. All my life I had dreamed of following in my mother 's footsteps and becoming a UConn Huskie. I had watched every UConn sporting event with my parents for as long as I can remember. I 've acquired many autographs of players over the years and even obtained a basketball signed by Jim Calhoun. I am writing to apply for the position adjunct faculty in your esteemed organization.   Currently I am serving as an Early Head Start (EHS) Director for the Children’s Center of Cicero Berwyn, a Head Start delegate to the Pillars grantee in Illinois. I believe that the skills and experiences I have gained in this position make me an ideal candidate for the Head Start job.

I graduated back in 2013 from a pretty decent school district. During high school I wasn’t an A student or a B student, I just did what I needed in order to pass. Once I got to my junior of high school I started taking things more seriously, I started making A’s and B’s. Once my senior year started the pressure was on. Everyone asking “what college are you thinking about attending?”

I am applying to the University of La Verne for the Educational Counseling Masters Degree Program in pursuit of a career as an educational counselor. My interest in counseling sparked during my second year of college. After taking my first psychology class, I learned that childhood trauma could have long lasting effects on the brain. I had been dedicated to coping with my trauma and after learning this information, I decided that I was ready to discuss my childhood trauma with a professional. After a few sessions, I realized how comfortable I was talking to an adult that did not judge me and guided me to self realization.

It was the first day of college at Pig State University. For the 3 pig brothers: Steven, Bill, and Charlie, it seemed like college was going to come easily to them. They had always gotten straight A 's and were the star athletes of the football team. Pig State University gave them all full scholarships, so naturally they chose to go there. Don 't be fooled by the name though, many other animals also go there.

The Call to Adventure I experienced a “call to adventure” when I decided to come to Akron Early College High School. I knew that it was going to be different from regular high school because we would get our associate degree along with our high school diploma in the span of 4 years. I was excited at the prospect of getting a head start. However, I was scared that I would not be able to keep up since 4 years seems too small to get 6 years’ worth of education. It turns out that Akron Early College High School has many charms that would not be found in regular school.

The Law and Public Service program is a program full of intelligent students trying to pursue their interests in American history and government. As someone who enjoys learning about history this program appeals to me. I am applying to the Law and Public Service Program to develop a stronger interest in American history, learn more about governments and political conflicts, and to help me develop my public speaking skills. World history had always been more intriguing to me rather than American history. I believe if I am able to attend the law and Public Service program at Colts Neck High School I will be able to spark an interest in American history.

Psychology was one of my earliest career interests dating back to high school. I would eventually follow my interest and pursue a college degree in this line of study where I obtained a 4.0 in all the courses that were in my major. I also was heavily involved in PSI Chi (The International Honors Society of Psychology) where I served as our chapter’s Vice President. It was due to this passion and success that I was offered a position as an undergraduate Teaching Assistant at SIU. After high school, many young adults feel as if they are free and ready to take on the world, whether for them that be going into the workforce and living on their own, having fun with friends and trying to figure out the world and life, or going to college in order to prepare for the career they have chosen. Fewer high school graduates are choosing to go to college and prepare for their career by getting a degree every year, however, for those that do decide to go to college and take that step, two more problems arise after they decide to. The memories of my first day in college are deep buried not only in my head, but also in my heart. There are well reserved in both conscious and subconscious memory. They remind me of the Passover, when Jesus broke the bread, and then blessed it. They also trigger my Sunday school memory of Jesus feeding five thousand people with a meal that was meant to be a small boy’s lunch. Feeding a multitude after breaking only five small loaves and two small fish, packed in a preschool lunch box, and managing to have twelve baskets of leftovers.
