The American Industrialization was in the late 1800’s making many things to improve the economy. The American Industrialization was caused by multiple factors, some of the factors included a growing population, a willing work force, high tariffs, among many more. These effects made people willing to work at lower wages so they can get jobs and buy American made goods. There were many outcomes of the Industrial Revolution, both positive, like improving people's lives, and negative effects, like exploitation of workers. The positive effects of American Industrialization is how it make work cheaper, employed thousands of workers, and improving people’s lives. Work was made cheaper because of mass production. It caused work to be cheaper …show more content…
For example, on of the effects is the environmental damage caused by American industrialization because there were no regulations on what businesses could and could not do to the surrounding environment. As a result, businesses poured smoke from their factories the atmosphere and dumped their garbage and ash into the surrounding areas and rivers Also the exploration of workers, or when workers are treated unfairly. For example, some explorations of workers are when companies didn't pay fairly, had kids, work, and had very dangerous jobs for employees to do. This was caused because there were no regulations due to the lack of labor laws. Finally, overpopulation in urban cities is a negative effect of industrialization because the overpopulation caused unsanitary living conditions, causing diseases to spread quickly. Environmental damage, exploitation of workers, and overpopulation in cities are all negative effects of American Industrialization. American Industrialization had many effects come out of it, both positive effects and negative effects. The positive effects of Industrialization are that it made work cheaper, employed thousands of workers, and improved people’s daily lives. Then the negative effects of Industrialization are exploitation of workers, overpopulation in urban cities and environmental damages. The American Industrialization was a major time
With Industrialization, our civilization improved agriculture techniques, medical procedures, and the steam engine which enhanced lives. People had more food to eat and we're living longer. The steam engine brought faster travel and machines to take over manual labor. But these advances came with a price. While some might argue that Industrialization had primarily positive consequences for society because there were more comforts and conveniences as well as a greater output of goods, it was actually a negative thing for society.
One positive attribute that came from Industrialization was that it provided better financial opportunities. Masses of different types of mills and factories started to show up like Flax Mills and Cotton Factories. These factories had many demands such as workers. Most of them had bad effects such as health conditions, but there were many other factories, such as the textile factory in Document 3 where it was stated that “Soon the production of exports outpaced the import of goods” (Document 3). This made most companies in England very wealthy compared to other countries like France because they could sell more than they bought.
With the rise of industrialization occurring during the late 19th century the conditions for laborers in any industry affected by this revolution worsened due to the demand for ever increasing efficiency. Industrialization occurring at the end of the 19th century created a degrading work environment that led laborers to unionize and demand the opposite. Along with better machinery that came with the industrial revolution, management practices also became more efficient. Due to the introduction of better machinery, the need for craft workers decreased by a margin and the need for workers without such skills increased by a larger margin (MindTap, 3.3). With the mixture of an echelon system of management and unskilled labor conflict arose and
During the period of 1860-1900, there were many factors that helped to promote America’s industrial growth. With railroads increasing commerce, a large supply of necessary resources: coal, iron, and water, help from the supportive government, and a large wave of new immigrants it really was irresistible to not turn into a much more mechanized country. Once the 20th century was upon us, America was one of the greatest industrial nations in the World. Industrialization is what has led this country to be as successful as we know it today. As shown in Document 2, in 1860, there were less than 40,000 miles of railroad track.
In the late 1800’s to the 1920’s the United States made a positive impact by improving the country by creating jobs and better products to live easier. Industrialization had a positive impact on the United States society because without it today we wouldn't have the things we use each day to have an interesting life. The Industrial Revolution created jobs for many American citizens. Over the next couple years the United States grew its population by offering this opportunity to all kinds of immigrants that came here to the United States with their families. For example one reason why the Industrial Revolution had a positive impact on the U.S society was steel (entry 3).
Between 1865 and 1900, Industrialization changed the way America continued about advancing. It brought about industries such as the railroads, steel and oil that generated jobs and opportunities, as well as economic wealth. Although these times were great for some - mainly the millionaires gaining fortune from their businesses and poor immigrants who found better lives in America than there were in their home countries - others, like the farmers and industrial workers, found a hard time making a living in the new, fast paced America. Farmers and industrial workers responded to the cruelness of industrialization by politically, financially, and socially.
Industrialization and Industrialists had many important impacts on America. The era of industrialization known as the " Gilded Age" opened up many new doors for the American people. The industrialist Andrew Carnegie had one of the biggest impacts on America by far. Carnegie was responsible for the production of steel.
The Industrial Revolution, lasting from the late 1700s until the early 1900s, was possibly one of the greatest time periods in this world’s history. This time period caused people to think more and dream bigger. From these big dreams rose up inventors, entrepreneurs, and business owners. The Industrial Revolution brought many new inventions and production processes, but along with great new things come great terrible horrors. While some might argue that Industrialization had primarily positive consequences for society because of the new production methods and what they produced, it was actually a negative thing for society.
The Industrial Revolution that began in Europe changed society in many ways. Some of these changes were positive while others were negative. A positive effect of the Industrial Revolution is more jobs are available. In document 1a only two people is needed to operated a machine and in document 1b more than one person is needed to use a machine.
Without a doubt, industrialization was one of the biggest factors in how the United States developed. It gave us the means of mass production, better transportation, and eventually the consumerist society that the United States is today. Industrialization did drastically change American society, but did it change America for the better? Did it do more good than bad? While industrialization did lead to multiple social and economic problems, the advantages significantly outweigh the disadvantages.
The effects of industrialization on British society between 1750-1900 had great outcomes but had to pay a heavy price. Industrialization impacts hits the most to all empires and is a transition from human hand labor to machinery use. It all started when an inventor got the idea to use the water wheel to generate power and led to other innovations such as the spinning wheel to be used in textile factories. One example of an innovation, key to the industrizliaion is the steam engine. Steam engines were important because they powered ships so instead of the wind, they would use these steam engines and they made transportation and shipping much more efficient.
The industrialization of Great Britain led the world to modern technology because of all of their ample amount of natural resources and political stability. With multiple entrepreneurs looking for new factories and capital to invest in those factories, they continued to show the world they were the leaders in urbanization at that time. While some might argue that Industrialization had primarily positive consequences for society because of modernized machines, it was actually a negative thing for society. Industrialization’s negative effects were child labor, separated families, and bad quality of life.
Time and time again people wonder if Industrialization had a greater negative or positive effect. Although Industrialization brought many good things for everyday lives, it also had negative effects. While some might argue that Industrialization had primarily positive consequences for society because new job and job opportunities, it was actually a negative thing for society. Industrialization’s negative effects were children not being educated due to child labor, long working hours, and unsafe working conditions. People argue that Industrialization had positive consequences for society because new jobs and job opportunities.
Effects of the Industrial Revolution The Industrial Revolution was an important event in history. It brought about many positives during its time. For instance, kids were well fed, educated, and clothed. There were plenty of negatives, as well. One very sad example was the machine injuries that happened to both children and adults.
The impact of industrialization was visible in virtually every aspect of the American society. The largest economic actors stood to benefit the most from the division of labor. Large factories also
