This paper consider and discuss the key facets of ‘3Cs + 1C’ model created by Sophia Jowett and the impact on the effective coach-athlete relationship as a core for an effective coaching, which is leading to success, both Athlete and a Coach (Fig.1)(PGA,2017).

Motivation is something many coaches talk about. In order to be a successful basketball coach, you would need more than just having experience with the sport, you didn’t even have to be a top player from previous. Whats needed is knowledge of the game and how its played, manage the mandatory duties of it’s head coaching position, also making sure you recruit the right players, condition them very well into a team that can cooperate in an orderly fashionable way. The coach’s position is a very important role, especially being as though he/she is the backbone and the entire support system for the young athletes. In the athletic world, there are many different types of coaches. There are the coaches who think they know everything, the coaches who know what they are doing but do not care, and the coaches that actually care and want to succeed. First, the coaches that think they know what they are doing. These types of coaches act like they know the game, but they really do not.

Pat Riley’s “The winner within” is a life plan for the professional basketball players he coached in the NBA, and the leadership skills he had to lead his team to victory. Every chapter in his book focuses on one subject, and every subject for each chapter gives different ways that a team can become successful on and off the court. Riley’s coaching plan is not just for the court but it can be used in everyday life. Every strategy he gives us in each chapter becomes inspiring and motivation.

Today I would like to inform you guys about the fundamentals of being a defensive basketball player. More specifically I want to teach you about three aspects of defensive basketball which are: Balance, Vision, and Hand Movement and Placement. So today we will discover how these three elements are guaranteed to make you a better defensive basketball play, but how it is also applied to being a good public speaker.
