Yes, as evil as it sounds the ending of “Dogville was “satisfying”. The ending just felt like a huge sack of ice was finally removed from the audiences back. Yes, shooting the children and their families does not seem like the most humane thing to do, but if one were to see and experience how much of a horrible town it actually was then nobody would have any remorse. Revenge is definitely justified because it was all for the right reasons. What if Grace did feel sorrow for the town, so she simply left and never came back? Then the town wouldn’t care of what could have happened so they decide to ruin the next life that comes to their town. The ending of the film came down to either trying to help these people or get rid of them entirely. But
