In the centre of the painting we can see Aristotle and Plato walking side by side. According to Plato, everything around us in the world, the tangible, regular and solid, is temporary. Everything has a higher and greater truth behind it. This temporary world around us will keep changing but this is just an image or shadow of what is eternal and never changing. A world beyond the sight, a world of nature and beauty. To indicate this, Raphael has painted Plato (on the left), pointing towards the sky denoting that unknown eternal world. Along with that, Plato has his book Timaeus in his hand

Then during the 14th century, philosophy, art, and music were made exclusive, and became to some degree inspirational. Little did anyone know that was the beginning of a new era known as the Renaissance. Which was slowly but surely building a bridge which would lead the Middle Ages to the Modern Era.

He is not refuting or showing the reader a specific viewpoint, but he produces a straightforward factual explanation about the past.

Thousands of paintings and sculptures were made in these periods of time. I will select two pieces for each room and discuss why I would put those paintings and sculptures in each room at the gallery. I will explain two pieces that I would place in the Greek room at the gallery. The first piece is a painting called "Amphora".
1509 - 1511 CE. As one of his most famous frescoes, the work lies in the Raphael Rooms in the Vatican. The painting depicts most, if not all of the greatest people of classical antiquity. In the center stand Aristotle and Plato, representing their differences in opinion and thought. Whilst Aristotle philosophizes that reality is purely physical, Plato believes in an infinite, eternal reality that merely casts a shadow over our ‘reality’.
