Richard Ramirez, known as the night stalker, was a serial killer in Los Angeles. I think that Richard Ramirez suffered from insanity. Insanity is when one is seriously mental ill. Richard Ramirez spent a lot of his childhood with a family cousin Michael. Michael was a Vietnam green beret that told Richard of how he found pleasure in raping and murdering Vietnamese women while deployed. He would even show Richard photos of himself doing these things. I believe that growing up influenced by his cousin, eventually Richard Ramirez became insane. He started doing things he never did before, things like smoke marijuana, worship Satan, and steal.

The car's owner and other residents beat up Richard and then called the police. Ramirez tried many unsuccessful times to prove himself innocent in a 3 year trial even going as far as trying to claim that he suffered from insanity. During the trial a juror was found killed and the rumors that Ramirez had orchestrated the killing were never found to be true. Richard Ramirez was convicted of 43 charges. Ramirez was convicted guilty for 13 counts of murder, five counts of attempted murder, 11 sexual assault charges and 14 burglary charges He received 19 death sentences and was sent to San Quentin Prison in California.
