In the Beginning of Sam Houston’s life he was born on March 2, 1793 in Tennessee.
Then from 1813-1814 he fought in the Creek War then soon after that in 1827 he became the
Governor of Tennessee. Then Sam Houston won the battle of San Jacinto and captured Santa
Anna then gained independence from Mexico. Then became governor of Texas in 1832. Sam
Houston was chosen to be the commander in chief of the Texas army. Then shortly after that

After stephen went to mexico city and was coming back he was arrested and brought back to mexico city and thrown into jail. Stephen was in jail for a year and a half and never really tried to get out of jail. Then in August 1835 stephen was released from the prison and left mexico city and went back to texas as a changed man. Some believe he was a great president and some believe he was the worse president.
