How would you feel being taxed a lot more than the others estates, just because of some “title”? Or being treated unfair because you couldn’t read well, or you weren’t wealthy enough? Well, that’s what life was like for the peasants.

Higher Learning an american film released in 1995 that focuses on a fictional college by the name of “Columbus University” that resembles the actual Columbus State University in Georgia. In the movie director John Singleton captures the life of college students of all races and cultures and beliefs from around country. The lead character Malik Williams played by (Omar Epps) an African american high prestige track athlete. Malik’s character struggles understanding the full particulars of knowledge, the real world and keeping up in his academic career. Malik displays low motivation and idea of hard work.

A Raisin in the Sun PBA Unit 2 Cinematography and filmmaking are art forms completely open to interpretation in many ways such lighting, the camera as angles, tone, expressions, etc. By using cinematic techniques a filmmaker can make a film communicate to the viewer on different levels including emotional and social. Play writes include some stage direction and instruction regarding the visual aspect of the story. In this sense, the filmmaker has the strong basis for adapting a play to the big screen. “A Raisin in the Sun” is a play by Lorraine Hansberry that debuted on Broadway in 1959.

The film 13th directed by Ava DuVernay targets an intended audience of the Media and the three branches of the United States government with an emphasis that mass incarceration is an extension of slavery. It is intended to inform viewers about the criminalization of African Americans and the United States prison boom. 13th uses rhetorical devices in its claim to persuade the viewers by using exemplum in the opening seconds of the film. President Barack Obama presents statistics, saying “the United States is home to 5% of the world’s population but is home to 25% of the world’s prisoners.” Also the film uses a hyperbole in talking about the movie Birth of a Nation produced in 1915 which portrays a black man as a violent savage who will kill white women.

War is the biggest cause of destruction for nations. World War I in 1914 to 1918 shook the stability of countries and involved military alliances between different groups of countries. Germany was one of the countries affected by those wars. In 1934, 20 years after World War 1, The Triumph of The Will a documentary film was released. It was produced and created by Leni Riefenstahl, who was commissioned to do it by the Nazi Party.

Genetic analysis should be used freely in society, but only to help those who actually need it. The movie advocates the rules of your genetic makeup which leads to certain opportunities being presented to certain people with higher pedigrees than other. If a person's genetic makeup is sub-par you are unable to obtain your goals in life. While this is not true in the real world it could become a possibility in the future. The movie gives evidence of how your genetic makeup could affect who you love, what jobs you get, and expose you to certain discriminations in your life.

One of history’s most eccentric and powerful figures is brought to screen in this compelling historical biopic directed by Bernardo Bertolucci. The main character of this film is Benjamin Button, he had an illness that he was born to an old man and he grew from old to youth.

In the Movie I saw at least 4 scenes that was too long and boring and could have been cut. One of the scenes that was too long was the scene that that was near the beginning that showed the show and the host and then went on to show Charles Van Doren at his house or at someone's house. I think it could've been cut or edited because it was long and got boring towards the end. Another scene that was too long was was the scene when they were going to ask Charles van Doren of he wanted to be on the show Twenty One. It was a lil bit too long and they could've made the scene shorter and get the point across about them wanting him to join the show to beat Herbert Stempel.

As Sessemann 's niece, Heidi becomes cousin rather than simply companion to Clara, who early in the film is negatively portrayed as a hateful and spoiled child.
