Even though he does not write most of his songs, he does decides which ones he sings. He is also the one singing the song. It’s his voice that makes the song a hit. Many artists don’t write their songs. There are 11 artists that are in both the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of fame. Like, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Elvis presley, The Everly Brothers, Brenda Lee, Sam Phillips, Floyd Cramer, Chet Atkins, Bill Monroe, Jimmy Rogers, and Bob Wills. Being in the Rock and Roll hall of fame is an honor, even if you don’t sing rock and roll. Like Ice Cube said, “Rock & roll is not an instrument; rock & roll is not even a style of music. Rock & roll is a spirit. … It's been going since the blues, jazz, bebop, soul, R&B, rock & roll, heavy metal, punk rock and, yes, hip-hop. And what connects us all is that spirit. …Rock & roll is not conforming to the people who came before you, but creating your own path in music and in life.” Therefore I believe that there is no reason why George Strait should not be in the Rock and Roll hall of
It’s been a big debate in the sports world over recent years: “Should Pete Rose be in the hall of fame?”. The former baseball star was put on the MLB’s ineligible(banned from hall of fame) list in 1989 for gambling as a player and manager. Pete Rose should be allowed in the hall of fame because he was one of the greatest batters/ all around players of all-time and his crimes in the sport are lesser than those of others allowed in the hall of fame. Pete Rose is one of the greatest players in baseball’s history.

The Baseball hall of fame is home to amazing players that have changed the game forever, and Pete Rose should be included with these men. Yes, Pete Rose did do a bad thing, which is that he placed bets on baseball, which is against baseball rules, but this shouldn’t change everything else. Pete Rose should be inducted into the hall of fame because choices he made as a team manager shouldn’t affect how he is recognized for his skill as a player. Rose was a great player in the 23 years he played, his skills being what should get him into the hall. Pete Rose was banished from baseball for life on August 24, 1989(Lagrave, 2015) for his gambling which broke rule number 21.

Not very many musicians have been popular or successful for more than 30 years in a row, but Strait has. Hillbilly music was the main genre of music for rural white American’s during the 1920’s. During our class discussion of hillbilly music, I immediately related the genre as the birth of country music today. Hillbilly music was an artistic expression by the people of the rural south. This concept is very similar to the country music that is produced today by musicians from the south who write their music based on what it is like to live in the country. During the time period of the 1920’s, Hillbilly music was only produced and sang by white Americans.

If people were to search the name Peter Edward Rose they will see that he’s an all-time leader of base-hits,singles, at-bats, and games played. Pete Rose is one of the greatest baseball players to ever set foot on the diamond. Sadly, he will never be in the Hall of Fame because of his foolish mistake in gambling with his love for the game. Growing up in Cincinnati, Ohio as a child and being nicknamed ¨Charlie Hustle¨, must of made him feel the need to actually hustle people, even though the name had a completely different meaning.
