More than any other artist in any genre. He has sold 70 million albums and earned more than 60 major entertainment industry awards. Even though he does not write most of his songs, he does decides which ones he sings. He is also the one singing the song. It’s his voice that makes the song a hit. Many artists don’t write their songs. There are 11 artists that are in both the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of fame. Like, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Elvis presley, The Everly Brothers, Brenda Lee, Sam Phillips, Floyd Cramer, Chet Atkins, Bill Monroe, Jimmy Rogers, and Bob Wills.
