What does it mean to get impeached? Impeachment is the removal of a person with power from office. Ways to get impeached are high crime, such as felonies in a criminal trial, another one is bribery, which our last president Donald J trump committed in his election.

Both impeachments were politically charged, with Democrats largely supporting the impeachment and Republicans largely opposing it. Trump, on a different note, was impeached on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress related to his attempts to pressure Ukraine to investigate joe biden so that he can get dirt on him so that he can win his next election.
Something that is interestingly similar about these cases is that both presidents were ultimately acquitted ( to free someone from criminal charge by being proven not guilty) by the Senate. In Clinton's case, the Senate acquitted him on both charges, while in Trump's case, the Senate acquitted him on the charge of abuse of power and failed to reach a verdict on the charge of obstruction of

Conclusion Sixty-nine political aides from President Nixon’s administration were charged with federal crimes such as obstruction of justice and abuse of power, just to name a few. Forty-eight of these individuals were found guilty. It was not until Gerald Ford was sworn in as the 38th President of the United States that Richard Nixon was granted a “full, free and absolute pardon” (The Washington Post) for any and all of his crimes that violated the Constitution of America. This granted pardon was the most controversial component of the Watergate scandal.
Within the following cases, were any of the actions grounds for impeachment? Firstly, Richard Nixon who, spied on the Democratic National Headquarters and went to great means to cover it up. Next, Warren Harding for taking bribes and giving out government oil and Ulysses Grant for illegally giving his friends and others discounts on stock. Lastly, Gerald Ford for pardoning Nixon was grounds for impeachment.
Then he added more damage by lying under oath, about his sexual relationship with Monica Lewinsky, few months later it was shown that he cheated on his wife with Ms. Lewinsky. The scandal displayed uncomfortable pressure towards the Clinton family and our nation, but in all he just lied, like most married men do when such cases of affair are being shown. In an interview with Bill Clinton, I heard the first lady at the time, Hilary Clinton, made Bill Clinton sleep on the couch for several months (3). Although, he was found guilty on the charges of perjury, he was still able to serve two terms in office, which is very perplexing to me since his cheating ways and actions are still displayed daily over social media. Monica Lewinsky actually had a promising political career, until this scandal ruined it for her.
What makes this case unique is the manner in which Gowdy approaches Clinton regarding the attack. (as most good attorneys do) In doing so, he labels Clinton a “witness”.
During the 1992 primaries, Clinton was faced with an alleged affair with a nightclub singer named Gennifer Flowers. Clinton bounced back dramatically from the scandal and continued his successful career; and In 1992 Clinton won the presidential election over Bush. Also, Clinton faced several foreign affair issues during his presidency, primarily in the African countries of Rwanda and Somalia. These affairs were similar to Nixon's issues in that the American public scrutinized the issues and Americas reason for involvement. Clinton’s highly successful career, however, would come crashing down similar to Nixon's Watergate
In “Unfit to be President”: 58 House Democrats want to start debating the impeachment of Donald Trump by Ezra Klein, he discusses the possibility of current U.S. president Donald Trump being impeached is a good thing for democrats. Klein claims that it would be a waste of time and effort for democrats. He says this because they don’t have enough support to complete impeachment and impeachment is a near impossible task. He discusses how Rep. Al Green has a proposal to impeach Trump, which he says is well intentioned but would never get through Congress. The article is very effective at convincing the reader of not impeaching Trump.

Some similarities and differences between Trump’s impeachments and other presidential impeachments are: Trump’s impeachments are more frequent, recent, and unprecedented than other presidential impeachments. They occurred within a span of 13 months, during his first and last years in office. They also made him the first president to be impeached twice and the first president to be impeached after leaving office. No other president has faced impeachment more than once or after their term ended. The previous impeachments of Johnson, Nixon, and Clinton occurred at different times and for different reasons.
In the U.S Constitution, it states that if President is convicted of any treason, corruption, or any other high Crimes and transgressions they can be removed from office. If the situation is serious then the president would be presented to the U.S Senate to decide if he should be impeached.
The water gates scandal is why President Nixon was being impeached but he resigned before the house voted on the Articles hence Nixon was not impeached during the

It is designed to “bridle” the Executive if he engages in excesses.
Bill Clinton was also an American politician who had served as the 42nd President of the United States. He had served his time from 1993 to 2001 and throughout his time in office, he had both aided yet negatively impacted the United States, which can be seen through many acts and bills he had signed, both domestic and foreign. Domestic accomplishments of President Clinton firstly included cutting the tax, similar to what Reagan had done. Clinton had signed the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act, cutting taxes for millions of low-income families. He had also cut tax for almost 100% of small businesses and raised the tax on the wealthiest taxpayers.
