And instead of having firemen that put out fire, the firemen start the fire to burn down books and houses. There are many differences and similarities between our modern day society and the the society in the book ‘Fahrenheit 451’. Such as our Government, Technology, and Behavior. One example of similarities and differences of the two societies is the Government. In both of our societies the Government controls us and instills laws to help protect our lives. Like in our modern day society we have laws about seat belts the help keep us safe. And in the book ‘Fahrenheit 451’ the Fireman Captain talks about the Government taking away books to help keep people believing in only one government to keep them safe from war. “If you don’t want a man unhappy politically, don’t give him two sides to a question to worry him; give him one. Better yet, give him none. Let him forget that there is such a thing as war.” (Bradbury,1951, pg 58) And,”Cram them full of non combustible data, chock them so damned full of ‘facts’ they feel stuffed but absolutely ‘brilliant’ with information. Then they’ll feel they’re thinking, they’ll get a sense of motion without actually moving.” (Bradbury, pg 58) These quotes show that both of our Governments do things to help protect us. However, our Government is a bit

Today I’m going to be talking about the similarities to our society and the society of Fahrenheit 451 and they are more alike than you would think. For example their world deals with the problem of people burning books and houses we did the same thing. This means that we are just like them in the fact that we have burned books and even people on occasion. We also have some advanced technology just like theirs.
When the U.S first formed its government away from Britain, they tried to make their society as perfect as possible. As the years go on many changes occur in societies all around the world. In the novel Fahrenheit 451 and Modern American society, Fire departments are both similar and different.
Society has an everlasting hold on modern people and the people of the past. In the book Fahrenheit 451, Montag wants to read and understand what he's reading and why books are so dangerous. How is Bradbury’s vision of the future like humans real experiences in today's modern culture every day?, and how would today's society compare to the society in Bradbury's novel Fahrenheit 451. In today's society, we have the opportunity to access all the world's information at our finger tips with a few key strokes. Imagine a day when everything that we have suddenly is controlled. No more freedom to do as you please. This is a great novel about how we as an American society's future could become. With books being illegal in the society and being burned daily, by fireman of all people.
Rough Draft The school believes that fiction and novels doesn't have place in the curriculum, I believe they do have in place in curriculum. What would you do if there was another world that burned homes instead of put them out? Society today is used to keeping the community a safe place instead of putting the society in danger. This society strives for balance and fair living. Fahrenheit 451 contrasts to modern society in areas of Government, Firemen, and Books.
In conclusion the difference in both societies is that one of them does not let a variety of things happen and the other let’s a variety of things happen, and the similarity is that both of the societies do not let the communities give their opinions on the matter at hand and do not let us share what we see happens without and with the
“ If the government is ineffiecient, top heavy, and tax mad, better it be all those than that people worry over it”( Bradbury 58). It is better to tell a man what do than to let him think on his own. Don’t give a man a two sides to pick from tell him the side to go on. “ Today, the United States government enjoys unprecedented power over its citizens.
