Foreword This report has been written to explore what the context of healthy communities is. The defined community will be introduced and a geographical map included. Key information of the specified commune will be evaluated, data’s and statistics will be presented in tables. This report is a snapshot of the current situation of the community as continually changes in the commune takes place. The focus will be on the health and social care needs of the community. Viewpoints of the residents of the chosen commune will be summarized and discussed. Recommendation about observed issues will be implemented. These key issues are significant in their consequences and will be therefore, separated discussed in point four, views of community. 3.1 Age breakdown Small Heath In comparison with other neighbourhoods in Birmingham, Small Heath has a young population where the average age is under age fifteen with thirty-six percent. It is found that, also by long-established members of Small Heath, previously females from the Asian community, a limited English ability exists. This can be due to cultural structures as in some cultures the man is still a patriarch who has the full control over the family. Ordinarily, the position of the women plays in the background by looking after the kids and the house. To understand this gender inequality the feminist theory will be used which is based on the belief that women getting still not treated equal and fair in society. To begin with, the history shows that women were measured on her body, in contradiction men were measure on their mind. Since, the eighteen century women have been seeing as property, object and goods (Popple, 2015, p.64). However, today the feminist theory represents the perception that the society and the state is still patriarchal were men persist in dominant positions and women are in subordinate positions. Fact is, accordingly to Bryson (1993) cited in Popple (2015), male power get still physical and psychological demonstrated with domestic violence, sexual abuse or other types of control to minimize women.
