Canberra Old Parliament House The Old Parliament House started being built in 1923 and was completed in 1927, then the Government moved into the place. The Old Parliament House is at the bottom of Capital Hill in the centre of the Parliamentary Triangle, which itself forms of the centre of Walter Burley Griffin’s design for Canberra, an open view of Lake Burley Griffin, Anzac Parade, the Australian War Memorial and Mount Ainslie. The Parliament house sits on 2.5 hectares and on both sides of the building, are the Parliamentary Gardens, the eastern side is for the House of Representatives and the western side is for the Senate. Murdoch intended this as an essential element to the building, to provide both diversion and contemplative space for members and senators.
“This we’ll defend”: This is the motto of the United States Army, as well as the 3rd Infantry Regiment, also known as the “Old Guard.” These are the sentinels who guard the tombs of three unknown soldiers: One never identified from the First World War; another that never found his family from World War Two; and another shot down and never recognized in Korea. Laying a wreath on the tomb of these three unknown soldiers is considered synonymous as laying a wreath on every unknown and unidentified soldier and one of the highest honors for a United States citizen.

On the other hand, most could distinguish the difference between country and trailer trash.
In the epic poem Beowulf, the mead hall, Heroet, is an Anglo-Saxon mythological building. During the Anglo Saxons’ time, mead halls were places of importance, where social and religious events were held. The Homeless Need More Than A Blue Room In "Homeless" by Anna Quindlen, she writes that she meets a homeless woman, Ann, who claims she's not homeless because she has a photo of a yellow house. Quindlen understands what Ann is trying to tell her because Quindlen feels that a home is a unique place that can't be replaced by a shelter. Unfortunately, Quindlen concludes, our sense of home has changed significantly, but people like Ann remind us that the homeless, more than being a group of poor people without homes, are people who are rootless. While I initially disagreed with Quindlen that the homeless were people for whom I should have individual compassion, she ultimately convinced me that I should focus more on what they need rather than who
