The Art of Critique “If you look at our world, it 's a world of critique.” A Cuban-American former Major League Baseball outfielder and designated hitter Jose Canseco once said. Indeed, it is true. The world has been so much better because of critique since critique makes people to stop and think what they’ve done well and what they hadn’t. It gives people a chance of looking back and seeing the possible improvements. Also it’s a world of critique because critique is just a part of life; every time somebody says “I really like this donut because…” or “I really don’t like this book because…” it’s a simple form of critique, it’s an evaluation of the object talked about. According to dictionary, a critique is a detailed analysis and assessment of something, in this case, of artwork. It gives me a detailed evaluation on my artwork; and it allows me to improve my artwork and know what to watch out next time when I do similar works.

My teacher has shown me a way to grasp a better view of my artwork. He told me to study my artworks from a distance. It helps me to test the readability of my art work. Then I am able to see if the color is what I wanted, if shapes, forms and lines are in the right place, and if there is enough light and shadow. Many times with colored pencil drawings I would realize the color looks really dull. I would try to think if I used too much black or if I used a pencil in my drawing. Then, I would color it darker with colored pencils and do the critique all over again. Also I would find my drawings or paintings lacking contrast sometimes. Once I did a drawing of a colorful flower with a black and white pencil drawing of sky. I thought I colored the flower enough, but when I looked from a distance, I can barely see any color of the flower. Clearly it was lacking contrast and color, but I wouldn’t have noticed it without
Even though Rose’s stats says he belongs in the Hall of Fame, he has been banned for breaking the rules. People who break the rules should be punished. It shouldn’t matter that that person is a small child or the president of the United States. Rose, like many other athletes, has made personal mistakes that happen to become public knowledge. Take Jose Canseco’s career for example.
I would like to thank everyone for attending this ceremony to honor the life of Jose Fernandez. Jose was a rising ace pitcher with the Miami Marlins until his life was cut short to an accident on September 25, 2016. Jose was the life of the dugout no matter the score or inning he was always the one to keep the dugout alive. Jose was born July 31, 1992 in Santa Clara, Cuba to his loving mother Maritza Fernandez. Jose could be seen always having a smile on his face and being the life of whatever was going on.

Cesar writes in a persuasive tone to appeal to logos and the use of allusion to inspire the American people to utilize nonviolent actions on setting conflicts as an alternative to their go to violent encounters. Cesar’s use of allusion throughout his article e.g publishing on Martin Luther King’s tenth anniversary and mentioning Martin Luther, a widely known activist for nonviolence, brings the audience something familiar that they have either lived through to see this historical figure in action or have heard about and may have admired to further support his reasons on why nonviolent is the stronger way. In paragraph one, Caesar mentions MLK and states that his life was an example of power that nonviolence brings to bear in the real world.

Why our principal media of mass communication is the TV shows? This is because in our century, people use more TV or Internet as media of information than a physical newspaper (paper). I will focus principally on the constant social criticism that exists on the TV shows. Criticism is the practice of judging the merits and faults of something. The term social criticism often refers to a mode of criticism that locates the reasons for malicious conditions in a society considered to be in a flawed social structure.
Secondly, Dürer's sketches allowed him to work out technical issues related to perspective, proportion, and shading. By sketching his subjects from different angles and viewpoints, he could develop a deeper understanding of their form and structure, and use this knowledge to create more convincing and realistic images. Dürer's use of preliminary sketches demonstrates his commitment to excellence and his belief that artistic success requires both inspiration and careful planning and
It allows us to receive corrections, feedback, and affirmation appropriately and to develop and exercise our abilities unencumbered by arrogance or self-deprecation.” (Entwistle, 2015). According to Entwistle, the
This makes us instantly look at them. The wide space between the man and woman has no major distractions within in, the artist could have filled that space with some interesting art, but chose not to because it would have drawn the viewers’ attention away from the woman and man. The authors choice of color is quite plain, but the bright colors that follow the sides of the viewing box help guide the viewers eyes to the man in the background, assisting the implied created by the railings. The author used value in the artwork to show what is important. The woman’s body is heavily shaded and doesn’t catch the viewer’s eye.
Art is like a language, ideas and thoughts that may not be able to be articulated any other way. The big debate is whether artist artwork is a waste of resources and time, or if it is good for the world with all the creativity and the beauty it has. Art is more than justifiable to enjoy it. The enjoyment of art gives modern
Outliers, written by Malcolm Gladwell, is an informational book regarding the intricacies of success and how it comes to fruition in individuals. Outliers has served to teach students the means of being successful and the importance of seizing opportunities as they come. Personally, Outliers has changed my views of success in numerous ways. Before reading said book, I had always assumed people who were naturally talented or had specific privileges were the only ones who could get far. However, Gladwell’s writing has informed me that anyone, if they are prepared to work hard, can reach their goals.

That is to say, not everyone can relate to a specific work of art on everything but there are always plenty more of them for they to appreciate and relate to themselves. Moreover, everything in this world is related to each other and art is one of them. Which proved the point that art is essential in building a successful country. The contributions of art are huge despite what people think of it.
