While the story, there are few elements that I found parallel which I had previously learned from last class. Self-talk is the repetitive example that had been brought in her story while becoming a wrestler. This paper consider and discuss the key facets of ‘3Cs + 1C’ model created by Sophia Jowett and the impact on the effective coach-athlete relationship as a core for an effective coaching, which is leading to success, both Athlete and a Coach (Fig.1)(PGA,2017).

The author discusses the average salary for each professional sport, and also the revenue collected from the athletes as well. The article also informs the reader of the reasons why the author believes the athletes need the salary they receive. Throughout “Athletes and Compensation”, the author utilizes the rhetorical strategies of logical appeal, emotional appeal, and tone to support his argument that athletes are not overpaid whatsoever. In “Do Sports Build Character or Damage it?” Mark Edmundson explains the pros and cons of children who grow up playing football. Firstly, he believes the perseverance it takes to show up for hard practices is useful later in life. Especially when they get frustrated with something and don’t notice the little bits of progress they are making.
In To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Mrs. Dubose’s suffering helps Jem and Scout learn about perseverance, virtuous characteristics and how much she really desires to do the right thing. Without realizing it, Mrs. Dubose shows Jem and Scout how to do what they know will be hard, combat fear with courage, and standing up for the right thing. She teaches them by her actions not by words without ever leaving her own bed. Athletes have been kneeling during our National Anthem, and people wanna know why? A reason is because of all the shooting and brutality in our country has went through. Not only athletes have been kneeling everyone who wants a change are kneeling during our National Anthem. One reason why people are kneeling for the anthem ,is because of police brutality.
The world of athletes is very interesting. Most people do not understand us athletes. They think we are self- centered and stuck up. Actually most athletes are not. A lot of them care about others wellbeing.
Recently, NFL players have been taking a knee for the National Anthem, or staying in the locker room during the National Anthem. President Trump thinks that they are disrespecting our veterans who have fought for our flag and it “has nothing to do with race.” But according to the NFL players who are actually taking a knee, President Trump is wrong. The kneeling has a lot to do with race. Reporters asked Colin Kaepernick why he was kneeling, because he was the one who started this whole protest, or revolution against singing the Anthem at the games.

Sports is also governed by a set of rules and it is taken competitively. It is said that sports is taken seriously and is very important for athletes and even for the fans, some even say it is like a religion for them. Though not everyone in the society follow any sport, because they see that it has no relation to their lives.
Boom, bang, pow! Boxing was all I ever thought about as a child. I would dream, eat, and sleep boxing. Though I was a little shrimp weighing in only 75 pounds, I had a very big heart, which gave me the drive to keep on pushing forward. Sport and identity are two very broad and complex topics that play major roles in society. Throughout the history of sport, sport has been very effective in helping communities, cities and even countries establish and/or maintain an identity. This essay will discuss how sport contributes to the development of an identity. This paper will be divided into two main parts; first, the relationship between sport and identity will be discussed, then, using one national and one regional example, sport as a means of developing an identity will be examined. Sport is a huge part of society.
