It’s almost time, everyone has been talking about this day ever since eight grade. The pressure was on once returning back from winter break only five months before the big day. So many emotions crossed my mind that afternoon when my English teacher passed out the schedule. From due dates, picture day, assembly’s, prom and finally walking across the stage with my class of 2015. I felt so speechless I could not believe that with a blink of my eyes how quickly four years of high school passed by I said to myself “It is
This interesting school year has just begun. Students have been looking so happy. Here's why. First, This school year has a twist.
Hello everyone, The day has come. We traversed the slippery slope that is middle school. We didn’t succumb to peer pressure or anything else for that matter. We made it!
This September I will be going off to high school. I will be attending Monsignor Farrell High School in Staten Island. I can’t wait to go to high school and take a big step toward adulthood. I expect a lot of things will happen in high school and I am looking forward to it.
The "Tenth Day: Tenth Story" innovates upon the form of the allegorical tale by revealing complexity throught the characters Griselda and Gualtieri. Throughout the text, Griselda seems to be seen as a loyal and patient woman, yet on the otherside she has detached emotions with herself. For example: when Gualtieri makes her believethat her children are dead, she is emotionlessand is loyal to her husbands side. Additonally, the narrator employs complex characteristcs with Gualiteri as well. The ambiguity of Gualiteri 's persona with in constant change between his subjects and his loyal wife.
The book i chose to read for my book report was The Longest Day by Cornelius Ryan. It is a nonfiction book about D-day, set mostly in Normandy, France. It is in the Allied point of view for most of the book. Some of the main characters that it follows are Dwight D. Eisenhower, Hitler, and many different Generals that were under both Eisenhower and Hitler’s command.
Marguerite Johnson has been waiting on this day all year long; GRADUATION DAY!!! It’s a big accomplishment for her and the people in her community. Marguerite was so excited, so as the people that knew her personally. Her
Even though it went by quickly for you, it felt like an eternity for us, until we got onto this stage today. I remember watching this ceremony as a fifth grader, and never knowing how quickly we would be on the same stage. Now we are on stage, graduating as 8th graders to continue our education onto high school and eventually college. After walking out of those doors tonight, we will begin a new chapter in our lives.
It was 7:05am on a Thursday morning, when I had woken. I lied down in my bed gazing at the ceiling as my obnoxious alarmed screamed at me to get up and prepare for another day of school. I was beyond exhausted. It was November 17th. Thanksgiving break was just around the corner waiting for me to relax and get my mind off the prison we call school.
Being in the graduating class of 2017, I had plenty of opportunities to help me in my future and help me succeed in my life. I of course took many of these chances because I thought about my life in the future and thought of how much this can benefit me so I never have to struggle. One of the many opportunities that passed me was my dual credit program for St Philips college. This dual credit program allows me to go study a major that I picked out for my benefit. I chose ATMFG ( Advanced Technology and Manufacturing ) for courses like robotics and auto cad and cam so I can apply for more technical degrees later in my life.
It’s hard to get through a day during the great depression. Everyday, my family worries about my father's job. Now there's one more thing to add to the pile of worries. The dust bowl. The storms have been going on for about 3 years now.
The transmutation from the fall semester to the spring, was quite strenuous, no longer was I a part time student. I was taking 16 credits and this meant adjusting to the course load. The first couple of weeks were a hassle and I felt that there were not enough days in the week to complete the assignments. Now, in the mid semester, one of my main priorities was to purchase a planner and a calendar.
Chapter One Sometimes you just can’t decide where life is going to take you. You really don’t have as much control as you think you do. No one learned this lesson more than Ava Menton the summer of 1997. That was the summer when life changed for her.
My perfect day would start with the temperature 75 degrees with a slight breeze. When I wake up in the morning I would take a long shower. Next I would have breakfast, waffles with fresh strawberries and syrup and salty bacon. During breakfast gold bars would fly from the sky into my pool. After breakfast I would go swimming in my pool to grab all the gold bars.
It’s the day of the wedding, everyone is rushing around. I hear massive amounts of “excuse me” and “do my hair.” Summer, the bride, was dressed and already taking pictures. Karie and I were sitting on the ground talking about everyone there. We already had our makeup and hair done, but we still had to get our dresses on.
My first day of high school as a freshmen in a new level of education Is what I was thinking when I woke from slumber that morning in bed. Stepping foot on the campus wasn’t even the beginning, taking the school bus in the morning is where the first taste of being a freshmen and actually starting and being an high school student. I started to get really nervous and a sense of reality hit me. Walking towards the bus stop all I see is a huge group of high school students waiting around for the bus, calm and cool as I try to stay to be I approach the waiting area not knowing what to I’m getting into.
