The four leading causes of the Industrial Revolution
The Industrial Revolution was a significant part of history as it has led us to the world we live in today. The Industrial Revolution was a period in time when technological inventions and innovations were on the rise to a more modern world. The four leading causes of the Industrial Revolution include the agricultural revolution, population growth, developments in power and technology, and lastly, geography within Britain.
The agricultural revolution started in the 18th century in Great Britain. Many innovations and inventions made during this time allowed the Industrial Revolution to rise. The Agricultural Revolution introduced plows, seed drills, enclosure of farms, and new ways of farming

In source 3, a young child gets vaccinated. In 1796 the first vaccine for smallpox was made by Edward Jenner, which was an example of improvement and societal development. Vaccines and their crops were a significant boost for society.
The developments of power and technology were two leading causes of the Industrial revolution. The development and advancement of power rapidly improved and evolved our world with older energies like wind, water, and horse out, and steam power in; This helped build a stable and valuable foundation for factories, coal mines, transport, and more. Over time with machinery innovating and a population growing, factories began to earn more money and develop more quickly. At the start of the Industrial Revolution, horsepower was the primary source of energy used. Horse-power was when farmers or agricultural workers used horses to help with daily duties like travel, agricultural help, and transporting goods. (See source 4) Horsepower was also used to help power the threshing machine, which helped separate grain from plants. The threshing machine was created in 1784 by Andrew
Following 1860, innovation thrived and more machines were built to speed up production without the need for excessive human labor. Prior to the Civil War, the main power sources in use were animals and humans. As industrialization increased, the prevalence of these two power sources significantly shifted. As proved by Document 5, society grew less dependent on human and animal power, switching to water and coal to fuel factories and machinery. In 1850, only 35% of industrial and agricultural power came from water and coal, but by 1900, that percentage had risen to 73%.
Firstly the Industrial Revolution began due to the primary focus of the 19th century being economic growth and expansion. The Industrial Revolution was essentially an era of new manufacturing procedures and new manufactured goods. This period exposed us to a notable “great inventor” who was called Eli Whitney. He gave us the popular invention of the cotton gin which made the process of separating seeds from cotton easier and less time consuming. Whitney also introduced us to interchangeable parts which made the creation of weapons quicker and cheaper.
The Industrial Revolution was a period of significant technological, economic, and social change that occurred between the 18th and 19th centuries in Europe and North America. It was marked by the widespread adoption of new manufacturing processes, machinery, and power sources, leading to the growth of factories and mass production. This period saw the emergence of new industries, such as textiles, iron, and coal mining, and it revolutionized transportation with the development of steam-powered engines and railroads.
Innovation and Inventions were a part of the industrializing that was taking place during this revolution and it led to many changes in lifestyles and businesses. One example of this is that innovation lead to assembly lines which made making things faster and more efficient. This lead to mass production which lead to bad working conditions and overworked employees. Another example is that the workforce changed due to the mass production.
The First Industrial Revolution had such an enormous impact on the United States as a whole. One thing that it did was that it created new inventions. These inventions helped to make lives easier, more than anything. An example of an invention that was created in 1712, was the "steamboat." Also, the Industrial Revolution created never before seen technology, as well.
Everythings was being done faster which, resulted in more products being made, there was more money, and it meet people's demands. Factories started becoming more popular during the Industrial Revolution. The factories caused goods to be produced faster, gave people jobs, and organized production. There were a lot of new technologies. Some of them are the steam engine, the spinning jenny, and the flying shuttle.
In the late 18th century, a few small, relatively simple inventions from England started an Industrial Revolution that forever changed the way people consumed and produced products. Machines such as the water frame and cotton gin made textile production much faster and more profitable. This industrialization spread to almost every area of industry, from transportation to agriculture, where new inventions were springing up and it would be only a short time before they were implemented in the new industrial world. To take advantage of the many new jobs created by these machines, people moved in large numbers from rural areas into cities where factories were set up. The industrial revolution changed society in a massive way, making it easier
The Industrial revolution contributed to better living conditions and better economic status. It sparked many cultural, social, and economic changes throughout the United States and Europe from the 18th to the 19th century. Vital inventions that contributed to modern technology can be seen emerging like the steam engine, light bulb, and the telegraph. More jobs opened up for the poor helping the economy boom, and living conditions overall were improved. The industrial revolution had a good effect on the typical worker at this time.
In the 18th to 19th century in Europe, the agricultural revolution made farming more efficient which allowed more people to get fed with less labor, which led to a massive population growth. With a much bigger and healthier population and new technologies and resources to take part, new factories emerged ran by capitalists and entrepreneurs. This in turn called for new ways of organizing human labor to maximize the benefits and profits from the new machines. Thus, the Industrial Revolution began and this idea slowly spread throughout Europe and eventually to the United States.
The Industrial Revolution shaped the growing economy at the time in many positive and negative aspects. The Industrial Revolution took place during the late 1800’s and the early 1900’s and was considered to be the “New Industrial.” Many things were brought to the economy at the time due to this occurring; some in which being machinery, technology, production of goods, and even performance. The economy was not the only thing greatly affected by this revolution but the farmers, the working-class, and the middle-class were also affected to a deep extent.
The Industrial Revolution led to new innovations that caused a mass industrialization and urbanization progression, which promoted large-scale manufacturing and factories to spread. This positively led to the creation of new products and jobs. The increase of jobs drew in many immigrants, which diversified the American society. Immigrants worked in mines and factories and supported the economy.
The events that led up to the Industrial Revolution played an important role in how its events played out. One of the biggest events is the British Agricultural Revolution, which introduced machines to automate farming. Also, population growth contributed to the Industrial Revolution because of the new need for miners to collect Iron and Coal. Iron was used in machines that automated tasks, and coal fueled those machines. The Industrial Revolution lasted from the late 1700s to the late 1800s and in that century there were massive improvements in technology, agriculture, and communication.
The new development of technology was a big key to make the Industrial Revolution possible because the new technologies allowed business owners to change how work was done. The steam engine gave more to machinery like the locomotives and steamships because it powered
The Industrial Revolution is recognized for the greatly increased production of manufactured products that commenced within the textile industry in England during the 1700s. Before the transition to the new manufacturing process, individuals lived mostly on farms to harvest crops with their own strength, and also wove textiles by hand. As new ideas and machine advancements developed, new job opportunities were created and the production of goods increased which led to the era of the Industrial Revolution in England. Due to the vastly enhanced farming methods that resulted in an agricultural revolution, industrialization in England was accomplished more easily. With geographical factors utilized by England, the use of natural resources and means
The Industrial Revolution was a major change in the nature of production in which machines replaced tools and steam and other energy sources replaced human or animal power. The Industrial Revolution began in England in the middle 1700s. During the Industrial Revolution, workers became more productive, items were manufactured, prices dropped, making hard to make items available to the working and middle class and not only the wealthy. Life generally improved, but the Industrial Revolution was also harmful. Pollution increased, working conditions were harmful, and capitalists employed women and young children, making them work long hours for low wages.
