The Holocaust lasted for some years and millions were killed during those years. Adolf Hitler was a cruel leader of Nazi Germany. He treated the Jews and others extremely wrong. Auschwitz was where the concentration camp was and numerous people were killed in Auschwitz. Concentration camps were where most people died at, they arrived at the camps by being loaded up into traincarts.

Under Adolph Hitler´s rule, the Nazi German Army took anyone what was different from them. Whether it was because of their religion or culture. This lead to what we call the Holocaust. Elie Wiesel and his family were Jewish they were just one of the many families that were taken to the concentra camps. Elie Wiesel talks about his experiences in the book Night.

In the time between 1933 and 1945, 6 million Jews had their lives ripped away from them thanks to the Nazi party and the concentration camps run by the government. Holocaust is the word chosen to describe the murder of millions of people. The man most people consider the cause of this was the furrier of Germany, Adolf Hitler. The experience was so terrible that no words seemed to accurately describe it. Multiple people who have survived this even have tried to express their story.

During the 1930’s and 40’s Nazi Germany was a dictatorship ruled by Adolf Hitler he was a cruel dictator who had a goal to eliminate all european jews this shows in “Law,Justice,and the Holocaust” where it says that he and The Nazis mainly targeted people of the Jewish faith, at the end of the war they successfully killed six million jewish men,women, and children. This event was known as the holocaust. Hitler was a very cruel and hated man by the people who weren’t being schooled by the Nazis.

"Concentration camps, that's what you call, uh, a camp what actually is annihilation...they annihilate people, actually. " This quote by Abraham Lewent sums up the story of the Holocaust and what an egregious time it was. The genocide of over six million people during World War II was the Holocaust. It all started with a man named Adolf Hitler and his rise to power and the German people who were desperate to believe anything they were told.

Jews weren't allowed to leave their homes, and if they did they would be killed. Hungarian Police broke into every Jewish home in the area, and the Jews were forced to give away their gold, jewelry, or any valuables. “TWO GHETTOS were created in Sighet. A large one in the center of town occupied four streets, and another smaller one extended over several alleyways on the outskirts of town. The street we lived on, Serpent Street, was in the first ghetto.

Doctors and nurses usually decided this. Women with babies and mothers went to the right. The people on the right were then given soap and a towel. They thought that they would be going to have a shower after the long, dirty train trip, but in fact, they were put in gas chambers and gassed. The people on the left 170 women and 240 men of 1060 people, were taken into the camps, shaven, undressed and tattooed with a specific number.

Holocaust is genocide by the Nazis and killed about six million Jews. In the history period 1941 - 1945, Jews were killed in a systematic genocide by a large leading group at that time. Others deemed life unworthy of life by the Nazis included the mentally and physically disabled, Romani people, homosexuals, Jehovah's Witnesses, and social misfits. In total, about 11 million people were killed, including about one million Jewish children. In late 1941, Himmler and Heydrich expressed impatience with the progress of the Ultimate Solution.

Babies and young children, pregnant women, the elderly, the handicapped, and the sick had little chance of surviving. Those who had been selected to die were led to gas chambers. In order to prevent panic, camp guards told the victims that they were going to take showers to get rid of lice. The guards instructed them to turn over all their valuables and to undress. Then they were driven naked into the "showers.

The Holocaust, which took place during World War II, was one of the darkest periods in human history. The Nazi regime led by Adolf Hitler persecuted and murdered millions of people, including six million Jews. The Jews were the primary target of the Nazi's racist ideology, and they were systematically stripped of their rights, property, and ultimately their lives. The Jewish community during the Holocaust experienced immense suffering, fear, and loss.

The Holocaust started when Hitler gained power in Germany in 1941 and led the Nazis in a mass murder. One by one the Nazis tried to clear out the population of not only Jewish people, but also the mentally and physically disabled, gypsies, and homosexuals; more than 6 million people were killed. It was a time where you were told how you should act and what you should believe and if you chose to be different you were tortured and killed (Holocaust Encyclopedia). Significance:

Closed ghettos consisted as the most common ghettos during the Holocaust. Most closed ghettos existed in German-occupied Poland and the occupied Soviet Union. It closed off by walls or by fences with barbed wire for isolation. Epidemics and high mortality rate became effects from starvation, chronic shortages, winter weather, and unheated housing.

Jews were moved to the camps to either work or be killed (Veil 113). The Nazis also wanted to keep the children, but only twins because the Nazi scientist wanted to experiment on them (Veil 115). The Nazis had a plan called the System of Death where they told all the Jews that they were going to take showers and clean off and the Nazis took them to a medium sized room where they all stripped down getting ready for showers. The Nazis would then put some Zyklon B pellets into the chamber where it reacted with the oxygen in the air and turned into chlorine gas and all the Jews were dead in minutes. They then would force some other Jews to carry the bodies to the crematorium where the bodies would be

The Holocaust is the deadliest recognized genocide in human history. It lasted from January 30,1933 – May 8,1945 and would result in the l1 million deaths. The causes of the Holocaust begin at the end of World War One with what Germans referred to as “the stab in the back”. This was a myth that claimed the German Army did not loose World War One but was betrayed by the Jewish population who gave up land and supplies to the Allies. As this spread anti-Semitism or hate for Jewish people grew in Germany as people viewed the Jewish population as deceptive and traitorous.

Daily Life at Concentration Camps Starving, cold, unclothed, sick, and hard working people were all put in concentration camps and treated horribly. The Jewish workers worked hard all day everyday or else they would get killed. The way the Nazi’s treated the Jews was extremely bad, the Jews would not get food, clothes, beds, and other necessities. There were all types of camps that had all kinds of jobs, you were assigned a job and didn 't get to pick a job. The Jews had a very compact schedule, they were busy all day, never any time to waste.
