The Impact Of The Civil War

The Civil War was a major event in American history that lasted 4 years. It was fought between the North and South over issues like slavery, states’ rights, and how much power the federal government would have. These issues created varied viewpoints between the North and South, which later led to war. However, there are many similarities and differences in the viewpoints of both sides during the Civil War.

The Civil War was a battle of great importance to our history of the United States. On April 12th, 1861 this battle broke out between the Union States, North, and the Confederate States, such as the South. The Civil War took place all throughout the United states, and did not come to an end until the Union won the war on May 9, 1856. So, our question of “What caused the Civil War”, comes with three important answers. The three main causes of the Civil War between the North and the South were Economic, Social, and Political differences.

The American Civil War took place between the years of 1861 through 1865. This was a time of hardships and struggle for all people living in the United States. In fact, The United States wasn’t even called this name at the time, but rather it was split into two. The South, fighting for slavery called themselves “The Confederates States of America”, and the North fighting to end slavery was known as “The Union.” At the time of the war, men were going off to fight and eventually began to get enlisted into the army.

The Civil War: the bloodiest, most deadly battle of U.S. history. Through hard occurrences, the torn-apart nation fought an enduring war, with more than 600,000 brave soldiers perishing along the way. Beginning in the 1860’s, many states began to secede from the once unified United States of America, to create a new country: the Confederate States of America. Thus, the U.S. separated, due to each sides’ different policies. The secession of the Southern states split the nation, acting as a trigger for the Civil War.

The Civil War of 1861-65 established what kind of nation the United States would be and it is the center of attention when it comes to conversations about Americas many historical events. The four year war was between the North that was free and the South that supported slavery, all the conflict erupted after president Abraham Lincoln was elected into office in the 1860’s. The civil war started because of the conflict that was happening between these states and the different ways the people were going through life. The reason this war started was because there was so many differences between the free and slave states on who should have the power to prohibit slavery in the territories that hadn’t became states yet. Abraham Lincoln wanted to keep the slavery out of these new territories, but the South disagreed, so instead many of the slave states down south got together and formed their own nation.

Lasting from 1861-1865 and responsible for over 620,000 deaths, the “War Between the States” was fought over state’s rights and slavery. Shortly after the election of Abraham Lincoln, who opposed slavery, seven southern states succeeded from the Union and formed the Confederate States of America. On April 12, 1861, the Confederates attacked Ft. Sumter, which was held by the federal government.

The war brought economic opportunities to northern citizens. Work was easy to come by for most white men and immigrant population in the North.

The Civil War was caused because of mainly two reasons. One of the two main reasons is that slavery was happening in the United States and the second reason is that the states rights were violated. The war actually started because of a fort called Fort Sumter.

Every American has either heard of or knows the details of the Civil War. The Civil War began in South Carolina in 1861 and ended in 1865. Like most wars, the Civil War began due to a disagreement. When former President Abraham Lincoln was running for his position he promised to end slavery. Obviously the slave owning states were against this, so they separated themselves from the states and created The Confederates States of America.

This war was the deadliest war the United States has fought to date, and served to resolve two important questions that lingered after the end of the revolution: would the U.S. be an indivisible nation with a sovereign national government, or a dissolvable confederation of sovereign states, and if a nation created upon the foundation that all men have an inalienable right to freedom would continue to be the largest slaveholding country in the world. This Civil war had many causes, the principle among them being sectional divisions over the spread of slavery into the territories, a series of failed slave compromises,

The American Civil War was a war fought in the US between the North and the South from 1861 to 1865. People have debated on the reasons for this war for a long time, but there are more reasons than one would think. While slavery is sometimes thought to be the only cause for the American Civil War and sectionalism of the United States, other things like the Industrial movement and Abolitionism had a big impact on why the war was fought. The Industrial movement was when America started mass producing different commodities while needing a lot of labor too. Slaves in the South started getting tired and sick of being owned and forced to do work, and decided they would rather die and kill a few of their owners than keep in the labor.

The price of freedom is too expensive to be purchased. The American Civil War is one of the determinant factor of who our nation is today. The war was fought from 1861 to 1865 by The Confederate State of America and The Union. The Confederate States of America also known as the confederacy, consisted of seven official southern states. Though The Confederacy claimed thirteen states and some states from the Midwest, they were never diplomatically recognized by foreign countries.

On April 12, 1861 a tragic war broke out killing one-fifth of the 65,000 Texan soldiers. This war was known as the Civil war. It began as a result of an argument of slavery. The South supported it but the North would have none of the sort. This argument lasted until 1865 where the Union, or the northern states, had won and slavery was no longer allowed.
