Exercise Science is the major that I am going to take during college. This major consists of the anatomy of the human body and how it moves itself and other objects. Our bodies are machines and they require everything to function properly. I have previously researched information regarding exercise science . This has given me a lot of information and understanding of the subject. And although there are many other majors to choose from, I chose Exercise Science because I firmly believe exercise is crucial to humans, there is a vast amount of jobs available involving this major, and this major involves concepts that I am already very familiar with. Exercise is very important to human health. Those who do not exercise in their life usually experience mental and physical problems. Exercise raises stamina, increases metabolic rate and helps with stress. Armand states in his article about the importance of exercise: Once you begin to exercise …show more content…
Kinesiology can help you understand the science of human movement, while exercise science focuses specifically on exercise and physical rehabilitation. You 'll take classes in anatomy and physiology, physics, chemistry and statistics for both majors. You 'll also learn about how muscles, bones, ligaments and tendons work together -- important knowledge for physical therapists (Thompson). Some concepts from subjects like anatomy, physics, and statistics will be required in order to learn Exercise Science. In high school, subjects like Anatomy, biology, and sports medicine are offered. These subjects are very closely related to Exercise Science, the concepts are the same. Exercise Science just goes in depth a lot more. In order to specialize in the subject, one must truly understand and grasp everything. The concepts that will be taught in Exercise Science must be applicable to jobs ranging from Personal Trainer to Physical
I have known for years that I wanted to work in the realm of health science. I knew that I wanted to do something in sports medicine. When I took a deeper look into sports medicine I learned that there are many areas of sports medicine that you can get licensed in and that the sports medicine part would be a specialty to attach to it. So I took the list as started to look through it at each job that plays an affect in the sport medicine area. I narrowed in on Physical Therapy and then took the time to do some shadowing in it for my senior study.
My program of study at Montgomery College Community College is Exercise Science and Wellness AS. This program is a mixture of general education and ESW courses. Also,
For example bodybuilding is a form of art because they train to show off their physique at a show. A Powerlifting is more of a sport considering that they train on three main lifts.(4) They train on these three main lifts to compete at powerlifting meets and try to break new records.(3) Something else about powerlifters is that even the most built powerlifters aren 't nearly as built or have an amazing physique as most bodybuilders because they don’t achieve the same amount of hypertrophy.(1)
These classes promote health and team building skills. Physical education classes can help students maintain a healthy lifestyle especially during the many changes they are experiencing during
Athletic Trainer From a sprained ankle on the soccer field to a stoved finger in a basketball game all injuries are important, no matter how big or small. There has to be someone to take care of the injured athletes. These people are known as athletic trainers. With only being one year away, it is important that I begin to make choices on what I want to do after I graduate high school. I have been organizing a serious amount of information on the certain career fields that I’m interested in.
Alongside with PE, I am studying Applied Science. These subjects are very similar in the first AS year, and they complement each other very much. This is because a big part of AS PE is Physiology and Anatomy. I understand that anatomy is the sector of science concerned with the bodily structure of humans, and other living organisms. But this would mostly be in relation to humans and their bodily structures, as a sports therapist I would use this knowledge to help improve your client/patients’ physical fitness and health.
I want to be part of such a rewarding career. I feel that the subjects I have studied have provided me with a good foundation of skills and knowledge that I will use on a daily basis as Occupational therapist. In Biology I learned about the human body on a physical level. I found learning how the body works to be fascinating and I look forward to expanding my knowledge even more with this course.
Athletic, humorous, and respectful. These are a few words I would use to describe myself. I have been attending Udall High School for thirteen years now and it has been an amazing school. The teachers become your friends and your friends become your family. My parents are Chad and Shandra Tharp and they have three children, Samantha, Elizabeth, and myself.
It is a science. So how can you start making a body, but very little science to understand it only after the results you are moving? Many people go to the gym after the first rush of biceps. This is almost certainly false.
As adolescences enter adulthood, they enter a long transitional period, often known as “emerging adult”. This transitional period takes place over a range of 18 to 25 years old (Santrock, 2013). At this stage, emerging adults are still in exploration in the various aspect of life such as the career path they are interested in, defining their identities and a style of living they would want to adopt. Thus, adolescences who are in transition will be caught with many intense changes and will experience major life events that are all of great importance.
As you know, exercise is very important for your physical health. Exercising regularly helps keep your heart healthy, lowers your risk for type 2 diabetes as well as some cancers, and helps you get stronger muscles and bones. What Do You Want To Be When You Grow Up? For the longest time I’ve rejected the idea that I would have a job in the medical field. As a child, I was rebellious, stubborn, and wanted to be unique. Since the majority of my relatives are involved in health related jobs, careers in that field were heavily enforced upon me.
