The Importance Of The Pledge Of Allegiance

The American Revolution was a pivotal time in the making of the United States of America. The British wanted to maintain control of the Colonies. The people wanted freedom and release from the taxation England had imposed on the Colonies. During this battle for independence several heroes emerged. One of those heroes was General Benedict Arnold.

The American Revolution was a war fought by American colonies to gain independence from the British control. The American Revolution was caused by a series of events. It all started with the French and Indian War in 1754. At the end of the war, King George III issued the proclamation of 1763 which prohibited colonists to settle beyond the Appalachian Mountains, many colonists took great offense at this order.  The war between Britain and France caused Britain to be deeply in debt and demanded tax from the colonies.

The United States of America is one of the most prideful countries in the world. We dedicate July 4th to our independance, proudly wear red, white, and blue, and we join together in many rhymes of patriotism. The Pledge of Allegiance is one of the many ways we show our pride towards our country. In the novel Anthem, by Ayn Rand, a scripture reminiscent of the pledge is repeated by the narrator in times of temptation. The scripture, however, sends a very different message.

The American Revolution was a time period where there were 13 colonies in America exploring more of the land everyday, The british shared the land with people who are called the pilgrims and ended up soon turning into Patriots and after that Americans. Great Britain started abusing their colonists while there were shootings and many taxes of colonists, many were unfair, and this led to the revolution. This war was between The Patriot/Americans against the British/Loyalists. The revolution happened because a few major events in history took place in Boston others will say it as British Territory.

The American Revolution was one of the most important wars that was fought in the history of the United States. The Patriots and the British had two different views on how things should be run in America. Many people have different opinions on why, where and how the war was started. There were a few key battles that helped to influence the outcome of the war. The outcome of the American Revolutionary War influenced the United States way of Freedom and the way the American people live today.

To Be A Nation Under God Or Not Americans have had a long history with religion. From the pilgrims fled England to seek religious freedom from the Church of England to the phrase “In God We Trust” on our currency. America’s origin was centered around what some believe the creator of everything. Hundreds of years later, America has been considered a nation under God, such as it is stated in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Patriotism is defined as devoted love, support, and defense of one's country. The purpose of the Pledge of Allegiance is to increase patriotism and unity within our wonderful nation. However, the pledge we know and recite today is not the original; the original, written by Francis Bellamy, read “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands: one nation indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” The words “under God” were not added to the pledge until 1954, 62 years after it was originally written. While the phrase contains only two words, the two words are very powerful.

How did the American Revolution change the world? American Revolution is also known as the U.S. War of Independence. The conflict caused by growing tension between residents of Great Britain’s 13 North American colonies and the colonial government. In 1775, The conflict between British troops and colonial militiamen promote armed conflict and by following summer, colonies were waging a full-scale war for their independence. In 1776, the Second Continental Congress issued the Declaration of Independence.

American history is the study of major events and people that shaped the country many live in today. One of the major people that shaped America today was George Washington. He was the first and only general to lead in the revolutionary war. One of the major events in American history was Arnolds march to fort Ticonderoga. This gave the American army the supply of canons it needed to fight the British.

The social norm I violated was I ran through the living room and into the den at my mom’s house. . I then jumped on the sofa and recited the Pledge of Allegiance. I felt a little awkward while doing it at first, but I was around my family members so I was not embarrassed. Once I started reciting the pledge I did not get an immediate reaction.

The people of America fought and won the Revolutionary War gaining freedom from England rule. At first America gave out freedom unjustly. They had slaves who had no freedom and women and lower class white men who were free, but didn 't have very many rights, such as, the right to vote. There were many disputes, riots, boycotting, protesting, etc. Two women finally took action that eventually led to equal rights for everyone.

The American Revolution occurred between 1765 and 1783. Colonists in the thirteen american colonies had disagreements with the british monarchy and aristocracy. The American Revolution War was also known as the U.S. War of Independence. During these years Americans went through a series of battles and new laws and rules were set. During the American Revolution there were a lot of long term and short term causes, including economic factors, english political legacy, and foreign policy.

What The Pledge of Allegiance Means to Me The Pledge of Allegiance means a lot to me. One thing the Pledge means to me is that we are all one nation. The words “One nation, under God, indivisible, With liberty and justice for all. Another thing the Pledge means to me is that we are all equal.

There were many disagreements and because of those, many events were the cause of the American Revolution. These events included bloodshed by others, peoples rights weren’t enforced, individuals didn’t receive freedom, and our country was just not yet whole. Despite of the causes of why the road to Revolution took place there were effects afterwards. When American Revolution was over with the The Declaration of Independence came into place, treaties were signed, and the Bill of Rights. Now these effects/events were amazing, it helped our country tremendously.
