The article, Macomb county jail to get full-body scanner for inmates describes the new technology in Macomb county prison in Detroit, Michigan. The full body scanner, which will be installed in order to prevent the inmates from bringing drugs, weapons, or other contrabands inside the prison. According to Kent county sheriff, Lawrence Stelma, these scanners are expensive, but quite effective (Hall, 2016). The article states that smuggling contraband is one of the biggest issue in the prison system. Many inmates tend to hide objects such as, drugs, illegal substances, copper wires, and so forth.

Matthew Quick's unique novel, Boy21, takes readers through the eyes of a young, troubled boy who avoids his past. In a city where drug dealers hang out by the city hall, and old men drink out of brown paper bags, a boy named Finley barely manages to get past his senior year of high school. He keeps himself isolated from the rest of the world, scared to face his past, because it can get him into trouble. However, this changed when he is asked to befriend Russ Washington. The novel reveals that moving on is dependent upon accepting choices that have been made.

Some people may think that Chris was not justified because he did abandon his family and he told nobody that he was leaving for alaska. He also left his perfect life and many people didn't understand why. On page 2 it says “Hey Guys! This is the last communication you shall receive from me.

Chris Mccandless was never your ordinary kid. He was never much to show his anger to anyone. Like all humans Chris did have his faults (largely hypocrisy) but they were nothing major. Even with these unique differences Chris did grow up to be a good kid. Growing up Chris was always diverging from the norm, an anomaly.

It was to hard for him to leave the people he cared about. Krakauer conveys Chris as emotional and human. He had feelings and plans. He may have made some crazy decisions but had reasons for them. Throughout the book there are times that Krakauer uses evidence to show that Chris was completely crazy.

Brown felt the exact opposite. He believed people should not feel sorry for Chris because he wanted to die. He stated, “If he wanted to live, why didn’t he set a fire to attract attention? “ “Was he really injured or did he raise the semaphore of injury only because it was something a passerby could understand?” (Brown 12).

During his first journey, he found out about a big secret that his parents hide to Christopher and his sister: the fact that their parents had an affair and gave birth to the siblings before Chris’ father married to his mother. Chris was very shocked to find out that fact and was very disappointed that his father lied to them. As Chris’ sister mention when something “bothered him, he wouldn’t come right out and say it”, Chris would “keep it to himself, harboring his resentment, letting the bad feelings build and build” (Krakauer 1996 P. 122). Finding out the dark secret that his parents hide from him would be a huge shock. He might have felt betrayal for their wrongdoing; however, even after he encounters his parents after his first journey to LA, where he found about the secret, he does not question or mention about the affair.

Everyone goes through life facing situations in which they must overcome. We decide if we must overcome them and use it to our advantage. Even though they might be presented with distorting events, the outcome can be turned into something extraordinary by making a person stronger and wiser. People say that obstacles are what build us up as a person which is indeed to be certain.

On February 12,2016 Pamela Brown and MaryLynn Ryan gave an updates report on the FBIs prison investigation. After a two year extensive undercover investigation The FBI raids nine Georgia state prisons and was able to capture 46 present and former corrections officers in a sting. The covert operation ran down ahead of schedule Thursday with attacks by FBI at the detainment facilities. The prosecutions uncovered "stunning defilement inside of Georgia Department of Corrections foundations," said John Horn, the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia. Among those captured were five individuals from a first class squad went for beating down medication managing in jail, called the Cobra unit.

Chris was a leather tramp, meaning he would hitchhike around or walk wherever he went. After he left his parents and went on his journey he did not stop and settle down very often. This changed when in October 1991 he settled down for two months in Bullhead City, Arizona, the longest he ever settled down. Chris’s experience there is very different from his experience on the road. He gets a job and even opens a savings account at one of the banks.

Chris’s parents had fed him so many big lies throughout his whole childhood,” When Walt’s double life came to light, the revelations inflicted deep wounds. All parties suffered terribly” (121). Walt, Chris’s father, had continued his relationship with his first wife even after having kids with his second wife, Billie, Chris’s mom, Chris felt like society and money corrupted his father and whole family and he just wanted to get away from it all.

Everyone throughout their lives has gone through difficult phases in which have helped them see the world in a different way. For example, people have become better after getting past obstacles, they are able to prepare themselves for what’s to come later in life, and they are able to become successful in life. At some point in life, every person has though tab our giving up due to circumstances that have been concurring frequently during a period of time; therefore, people think that there are no good things in life left. For example, when my mother was younger she had to live with my grandfather’s cousin because my grandparents were moving up north for the season and they did not want my mother to make their trip more difficult than what it would

Into the Wild Essay Into the wild is a true story about a guy named Christopher Johnson McCandless who gives his life away and follows his dream of getting away from society and not wanting to socially conform. The book goes through all of his trips he would take around of the United States and some of the people he met along the way. The final trip he took was to Alaska where he went into the “bush” and even though it was only a couple of miles away from society,rivers stood between him and the outside world and that ultimately led to his demise. The author got firsthand takes from the people he met along the way that just makes this story more interesting because every person he met said he was a very good kid and spoke very well. There were many things that people thought happened to him when he was found dead in a bus in the Alaskan bush.

In the novel " Into The Wild " by Jon Krakauer it goes into depth about the life and back story of the main character Chris McCandless. Throughout the book its depicts the highs and lows of Chris' life and his adventures of risk and self reinvention while out on the road and in the wild. Chris travels from state to state for several years and meets an eclectic amount of people who were very generous and kind. They young boy decided to left his home and his family to cleanse himself of societies impurities and to find what he really wants from his life. Sadly his journey was ended short but his story still lives on because of Krakauer and his readers.
