I guess you can say that my story is resolved. In the end, I got married to the man I had previously hated. However, I wish I was independent. Yes I now obey him, but the shrew inside isn’t dead. He sparked interest in me because he wanted to “tame” a shrew and I will forever keep him interested. I still don’t like the idea of being married off, but I have learned to accept my future with him. Katherina they call me, I was an independent woman who addressed no one but herself. I realise looking back how naive I was when I thought that I could win a war against men in this patriarchal society.
You know me, daughter of the wealthy man Baptista and older sister of Bianca. (short pause) Bianca.(a little longer pause) Bianca had always taken the

It changed me into someone who is seen as ‘normal’ to be submissive. I realised that no matter how hard I fight for rights, I was seen as nothing more than property and this, this ‘fact’ infuriated me. I am so much more than just an object sold off for money. Petruchio will always have a second plan in order to tame me. It frustrated me when my heart took a change. It decided that I must repay my husband with loyalty and kindness. My story didn’t resolved the way I had intended it to but I am willing to accept my fate. I must go now, it must be Petruchio calling me.I guess you can say that my story is resolved. There are women all around the world who are being continually treated as objects, and the majority of them are being forced to live lives that aren’t their own, lives that were devised for them. Elizabeth, a woman in the short story, “The Leaving” by Budge Wilson, was treated her entire life like a maid; she even began to believe that her only purpose was to wait on her family and get the daily chores done. Not once in her entire life was she ever thanked for the hours of labor she completed from day to day in order to benefit her family. On the other hand, Samia from the short story, “Another Evening at the Club” by Alifa Rifaat, was forced to go along with an arranged marriage, the man she married being wealthy and from a well-known, high-reputation family. However, during this marriage, Samia makes a mistake by accusing an innocent girl of something that Samia later realizes she did herself.
Mckenna, I too wrote about the mindless monster and the negative effects it can have on someone. It's crazy to think about the lengths people will go to please someone and will overwork themselves to make sure others are happy. I believe that the only way to be truly happy is to make sure you're good first. The other aspect I agree with was your point on body language. That is something I need to work on a lot as well.
If I was forced to spend one more minute with my infuriating husband, Adel, and our three pestering sons, I was bound to jump right off into the churning green. It was my fault we were here, sure, but their four rotten attitudes were more than I have ever been able to handle. If it were up to me, I would have never married. Adel was brude and stubborn, believing since the day he laid eyes on me that I was nothing but a pretty face, inferior to him in every way.
I refuse to believe anything else. Everyone wants me to marry one of my suitors but I cannot. I told them that I will weave a shroud and when I finish I will choose a man to marry, but I had been stalling. I would weave during the day but every night I would undo my progress. I told them, " 'Young men, my suitors, now my lord is dead, let me finish my weaving before I marry, or else my thread will have been spun in vain" (Homer 726).
Regardless of society’s views of their union, Janie denies all their criticism and lives happily. After trials and errors on two marriages, Janie finally reveals to the reader that the only way to achieve what one wants is to leave all of society’s norms and pursue what he or she wants. If she were to fill her roles as a woman she would not have married the third time and would have lived with how her life currently was.
He went on to say that I was settling for him and he was always the one pursuing me, but Thomas ended up breaking it off me with. In lecture when we discussed dances of intimacy, and one dance made me think of Thomas instantly. The pursuer-distancer dance
From Sexism to Social Reformation Many actions and ideologies of the characters in The Taming of the Shrew create an overarching conflict between comedy and sexism for most readers. Specifically, the relationships between the men and women introduce controversial topics such as obedience and love which must be questioned thoroughly. The conditions of Petruchio and Katherine’s marriage was more “traditional” in the sense that it was primarily patriarchal, and that Kate was expected to be subservient and obedient. While this is sexist, on the surface, this was not the intended meaning behind the works.
Taming of the Shrew is a dramatic comedy in which several suitors try to captivate and marry a beautiful woman named Bianca. However, the suitors stumble upon an issue; Bianca’s older sister, Kate, is not married. Bianca is only eligible for marriage if Kate is married, so the suitors set out to find Kate a man. During Taming of the Shrew, the suitors of both Kate and Bianca are dishonest and deceive the sisters using disguises and mind games which results in a breakdown of all the characters.
Similarly the man overcame the woman in the relationship. Janie chose to conform to the outward marriage and new relationship. She became, in essence, a trophy wife. Janie followed the will of her husband, and not until years later questioned their relationship. As the story progresses, the internal strife between how Janie acts and how Janie feels shows the lack of the true Janie.
Has Society Really Changed? For all of human civilization, the world has been majorly a patriarchal society with women having certain “expectations” on how they should and shouldn’t behave. In the time period of William Shakespeare’s play, The Taming of Shrew, women were expected to be submissive and gentle; however, in modern society, women are less passive to men, but they are still expected to act a certain way.
It always works out in the end. But recently i have to get over a relationship with a girl that i loved very much. Long story short, She kicked me out of her life because is tired of fighting for us. But now i stand before you a person who loves helping people and likes to make people smile and laugh and lifts people up.
In the Taming of the Shrew there was many plot structures. There was the framing plot, and the triple action play that included the induction: Christopher Sly and the trick played on him, Lucentio/Bianca which is the romantic play, and Petruchio/Kate which is a romantic play as well. The genre includes a comedy genre. In this play there is a beginning but there is no end. When Christopher is mentioned, we don't know what happens to him.
And that’s why I chose to unlove someone whom I used to love so much for myself to be free of the toxicity of what myself have gotten to. And of thinking that letting go is the hardest decision that I will make. I came to a realization that letting him go is not the end, letting him go is the beginning of the new chapter of my life,
Everyone in the world at one point of time, has changed themselves to fit in with a niche, to be similar to the one you love, or for some other reason. Many unlucky people in the world have faced one-way love, or love that is not reciprocated, and have been influenced by it, much like Pip was. Chances are that, just like Pip they continued pinning for their partner because of the dopamine they get when they are with them. However, it is important to remember that you decide your life and your story. If you want something deeply, you can get it.
