Political culture according to (University of Minnesota, 2017), may be defined as “well-established political traits that are characteristic of a society and consider the attitudes, values, and beliefs that people in a society have about the political system”. Political culture helps strengthen people as a community because people who share a similar understanding of the political events, actions, and experiences that occur in the country, tend to be united. Political culture is usually passed on to the next generations. These are the rules that encompass political culture which are formal rules but also customs and traditions. The main types of political culture are Parochial, Subjective and Participant. According to (Anazodo, Agbionu, & Uche, p. 4), “Parochial political culture is the type of political culture that accounts for lack of interest and commitment on the part of the citizens towards what is happening in their political arena or the political environment”. A country in which this type of political culture is practiced is Nigeria. (Anazodo, Agbionu, & Uche) also adds that “Lack of orientation of Nigerians towards the political system has caused the country sustainable national development; and absolute lack of
Idaho's constitution reflects the values and beliefs of its citizens, which can be understood through Elazar's classification of political culture. Elazar's theory suggests three dominant types of political cultures in the United States: Traditionalistic, Individualistic, and Moralistic. Even though Idaho is classified as moralistic it has many things about it that fit all three classifications. Idaho's constitution reflects the state's dominant political culture, which is a mix of Traditionalistic and Individualistic, but primarily has a traditional focus. It highlights traditional and family values by making them a part of the legislation.

Texas has always been very diverse in regards to our political cultures. These cultures have transformed over the years which makes Texas a hard place to govern. According to Daniel Elazar, each state is associated with a political culture classification scheme of moralistic, individualistic, and traditionalistic cultures. Introduction On October 1st 1960 , British rule over Nigeria as a colony ended, as well as most of its official structure. Nigerian leaders were left with the task of taking up the leadership of the Nigerian people from the British with a promise of democratic rule; however within fifteen years after independence various institutions experienced great changes bringing great instability and uncertainty to the newly founded government. Northern and Southern regions of Nigeria both felt the impacts in education, politics, religion and ethnically. This causes one to wonder what the British Imperialistic government did differently, and why the difference between the Southern and Northern region became so evident in the fifteen years after independence.
In an Individualistic subculture the goals of the government are to protect the interests of the business people, provide public goods and services when needed, and protect the economy from useless government intrusion. They rely on the marketplace, and keep it going strong. Politicians running for offices aim are strictly for self-gain and to advance professionally.

Based on the definition that a civilized society has “a well-developed culture, an effective government, and that it treats the people who live there fairly.” The Igbo and British cultures presented in Chinua Achebe’s “Things Fall Apart” both show how and what a civilized society looks like. One reason why both the Igbo and British cultures are successful is because they have a well-developed culture. The definition of a well-developed culture is “the process of enabling cultural activities, including the arts, towards the realization of a desired future, particularly of a culturally rich and vibrant community.” The Igbo’s have a well-developed culture because everybody has a certain role in the culture and they stick to that role and listen
Throughout the world we all have different political ideologies, meaning we all have different ideas and values about how the role of government should function. We base these ideas and values from our religious background, culture and our philosophical beliefs. Our country in particular has the luxury of deciding who gets to rule because we are a democracy. The two significant political ideologies that are well known around our country are liberal and conservative philosophies. The two beliefs play an important role in the republican party and democratic party which also shapes our political system.
The first political socialization i 'm going to talk about that I applies to me is family. The ways that family affects my political socialization are through members of family like my uncle and my dad. These individuals have influenced me through their jobs and the way they carry themselves, for example my dad owns his own restaurant and is a successful hard working person. I idolize my dad and hope to one day become even more successful than him and own my own business.
Political culture establishes the backdrop against which politics unfold, it establishes the outer limits of what is possible, or even probable in the political realm. Texas political culture can be described as traditionalistic and individualistic. Texas traditionalist political culture believes in the values that policies are designed to preserve social order in the state, politicians come from society’s elite, and politicians have a family obligation to govern. While on the other hand, individualistic political culture believes that government should be limited when it comes to the lives of the public, individual rights of the citizens should be the main focus of a government rule, and a stronger support of personal politics rather than elitism. Texas also has a strong populism influence.
Piedad Molina Professor Ana Hernandez LIT 2480 October 7, 2015 Culture is the set of traditions, beliefs, and values, which are characteristic of a certain population. The five political principles that have shaped the United States government are known as Consent of the Governed, Limited Government, Rule of Law, Democracy, and Representative Government. The first political principle is called Consent of the Governed. Consent of the Governed means that the people run the government, so the people are allowed to kick someone out of office if they have enough votes, and if they believe the person is doing a bad job. The second principle is Limited Government. For example, the government is only allowed to do the things the people have given it the power to do.
Is masculinity so important that you destroy a piece of you to keep an image? In Igbo culture the answer is yes, masculinity trumps all moral things; if you don’t kill if you don’t disrespect, if you show emotions, you are considered an agbala--a woman, or a man with no title. If you are a member of Igbo you are in a culture that is run by men, a patriarchy. The men fight, are served, make children, and marry women. Okonkwo a member of Igbo culture, falls victim of masculinity over family, where he gets as many sons as he can and have multiple wives.
