The first section of the Declaration of Independence is talking about the people to assume political independence. The next section is talking about people have certain rights and when the government violates these rights then the people have the right to abolish that government. Then in the next selection, it is a list of charges against King George III, which says that he violated the colonists’ rights and is an unfit ruler. On January 17, 1706 Benjamin Franklin the “man of electricity” was born. He was the youngest of 10 kids, his mother and father's names were Josiah Franklin and Abiah Folger, his father's second wife. Benjamin's father , in total, would have 17 children. Benjamin's father was only able to send him to school for a year, but being a clergy took many years. Benjamin’s brother, James, was a printer Benjamin and so, Benjamin would help sell his products on the streets in these next 3 paragraphs.

Thomas Jefferson Jefferson had plentiful ideas of how to run the country and several people supported his believes. However, He realized that not all of his ideas would be able to be integrated into the government plans as easy as he thought and furthermore that some of his objectives were not as great as he expected. Even though, some of Jefferson's idea were not materialized, he was efficient when it comes to external affairs. Jefferson was termed as "The man of the people" with his attitude of government being let more power into the hands of the community and inhibiting the power of state. He made many modifications to the declaration before he excited with what he composed.

Benjamin Franklin was born on January 17th, 1790 in Philadelphia. Ben was married to his wife Deborah Read in 1730 up until 1744. In that time they conceived three children. Their names were Sarah, William and, Francis. He loved his family very much, he was especially close with William because they worked together with the declaration of independence.

The first 10 amendments to the Constitution make up the Bill of Rights which was written by James Madison. He wrote The Bill Of Rights in response of calls from several states for greater constitutional protection of individual liberties. The people who signed the declaration made a promise to protect the people from the government. The colonist wanted to keep their rights because they had a fear of a tyrannical government. People believed and were taught that The Bill Of Rights came from the desire to protect the liberties won in the American Revolution.

Declaration of Independence Precis Thomas Jefferson in his historical document, The Declaration of Independence (1776), asserts that the colonies should break free from Britain’s tyranny. Jefferson supports his assertion through the use of anaphora, parallel structure, imagery, emotional appeal to patriotism, and logical appeal to the colonist’s basic rights. Jefferson’s purpose is to advocate for the separation of Britain and the colonies in order to escape the British tyranny that King George imposes on the American colonists. Jefferson writes in a measured tone for the British parliament, King George, and for colonists who have been a victim of Britain’s oppression.

In the late 1700’s, James Madison wrote the first Ten Amendments that are listed in the United States Constitution. The Bill of Rights were written to ensure American citizens that they have freedoms and rights that the government can 't infringe. Out of the Ten Amendments, I believe that the First and Eighth Amendment are the most significant. The First Amendment grants us freedom of speech, religion, press, petition, and for people to assemble peaceably.

The second amendment states that people have a right to bear arms under a well-regulated militia. This amendment was added to the Bill of Rights because the Americans had just finished fighting The American Revolution with the British government for independence-- Gun control by the British was one of the catalysts of this war. With the revolution fresh in mind, the Americans had registered that there was a need to unite and form a union; however, some Americans felt that a union could result in something similar to the tyranny that the British had imposed on them. They were hesitant of placing the power on a small handful of people-- The second amendment helped take some power from the government and give it to the people.

The American Revolution or also known as The War of Independence was brought on by American colonists. The colonists felt the taxations and limitations oppressed onto the Americans by British was worth fighting for their rights. The Americans had George Washington as their general, and Washington had an itch to keep the moral of the colonists alive during the hard times. In the times of The American Revolution, the Second Continental Congress emerged and voted for freedom from Great Britain. Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, and Benjamin Franklin came together and formed a document stating the colonists’ intent to gain independence from Great Britain.

Jefferson uses a large portion of this declaration to support his argument through extensive lists of all the wrongdoings of the king. These two premises form a basic if then argument which can be simplified to “If political bands must separate and form different powers if unfit to rule and England is unfit to rule then the colonies should become independent and Britain should not govern them. This forms the essential argument that is the core message of the Declaration of Independence. Of course, there are a few short comings regarding its validity. The first major premise that it is necessary to dissolve political bands is a little far fetched.

As Americans, we are provided with certain freedoms that no other countries have. These freedoms are listed in the Bill of Rights located in the Constitution signed by James Madison in 1787. These amendments play important roles in our society and personal lives. They can be summed up with the unalienable rights, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Adding the Bill of Rights to the Constitution, was not only a celebration for those who yearned for individual liberty, but it was also meant to be more than just a “parchment barrier;” however, for that to happen citizens must understand the content and the meaning of the Bill of Rights.

During the writing of “The Declaration of Independence”, Thomas Jefferson go to great lengths to describe why the colonies were choosing to separate themselves from Great Britain. This is done not only so readers will have a detailed description of what the American people were facing while being ruled by the King. The vivid depiction of all the cruelty he has shown towards the people. Furthermore, the lengthy, highly descriptive examination of all the wrongs and showing that the colonists made many appeals to the King but also the people of Britain that the reader now feels as if it is wrong for the Colonies to be under Great Britain. Thomas Jefferson begins by detailing the ethical standings of all people that live within the colonies.
