In the Adventures of Tom Sawyer, a classic novel written by Mark Twain, Becky Thatcher, Tom’s love interest, was a positive impactful character in Tom’s future for she taught Tom how to work hard and persevere through the obstacles to achieve his goal. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is about a young boy growing up along the Mississippi River in the fictional town entitled St. Petersburg during the mid-1800s.
