A Chauvin woman who was stabbed to death at a Grand Isle beach Sunday was a generous woman who loved photography and gardening, and did everything she could for her three kids despite being an amputee, her sister-in-law said. Jennifer Dozier was at the beach near Cypress Lane around 10:30 p.m. Sunday when a fight broke out between her and her boyfriend of nearly two years, Randy Paul Marcel, of Pine Street in Chauvin, police said. The fight, which witnesses say started over drugs or cigarettes, culminated in Dozier, 34, being stabbed the multiple times in the neck and torso, said Glen Boyd, Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office public information officer. Marcel left Dozier's 2-year-old son, Gabriel, with his mother's body and left the scene, police said.

Stephanie Torreno is a graduate from Houston Baptist University. Stephanie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and technical writing. She was born with a disability called cerebral palsy .Celebral palsy affects her entire body. Therefore, she depends on caregivers to help her write.

Another well known abolitionist and worker of the Underground Railroad is Levi Coffin. He was born in North Carolina. In his youth, he always believed that slavery was wrong. During his childhood, he lived near a place where slaves were chained together.

Rachel Donelson was born in 1767 in Pittsylvania County which was on the western frontier of Virginia. She was the eighth of eleven children born to the Tennessee pioneers, John and Rachel Donelson. When Rachel was 12 years old, her father led her family, along with a large group of others, on a flotilla down the Cumberland River for nearly 1,000 miles in what today is middle Tennessee. They arrived in April 1780 to become some of the first white settlers of Nashville.

She was disappointed, so she shortly returned to Ethiopia. When she returned to the U.S.A she moved to Los Angles. She married Errol Zea-Daly in 1972. They then got divorced in 1975 but they had 1 child. Taylor then got nationally recognized for her book “Song of The Trees”.

Chris also earned two Purple Heart Medals for being injured in battle. He also received multiple marksman ship awards. These honors show his strength and bravery. His wife, Taya, has chosen to continue Chris’s mission. She is a Veteran Family Activist.

Sally Ride was the first American woman in space. She is also known for being the youngest person sent into orbit. Sally was born May 26, 1951 to Carol Anderson and Dale Ride in Encino, Los Angeles, CA. As a child Ride showed natural athletic ability. She loved sports.

The Davidson Family is comprised of husband and wife Cliff and Michelle Davidson, sons, Ndiaye and Jeremiah, and twin daughters Destiny and Danielle residing in Providence, RI. Ndiaye is currently serving his country as a soldier in the Army. Jeremiah (7) is in the second grade at Achievement First Mayor Academy while Destiny and Danielle (4) are enjoying Pre-K at Pleasant View Elementary School. The Death of Kyla On December 26, 1996, the body of six-year-old Kyla Ramsey was found in her Colorado home. Her body was covered by a blanket. Under the blanket, it was revealed her head had been bashed in and there was a cord around her neck, along with ropes around her wrists.

These people may receive exoneration due to the Innocence Project, an organization that dedicated its career to those wrongfully convicted. Phillip Bivens, Larry Ruffin, and Bobby Ray Dixon start the process of exoneration due to the crime committed, their involvement along with others, and what led to their wrongful conviction. Phillip Bivens and two other men were convicted of the murder of Eva Gail Patterson on May 4, 1979.
