Jackie Robinson

In my opinion I think a hero is a person that changes lives forever. My hero is Jackie Robinson because he is the first African American baseball player, first African American to win NL MVP, and the first African American to have his number retired.
The first reason I think Jackie Robinson is a hero because he was the first African American to play baseball. For example, if he would have not played there's kids out there that wouldn’t be able to play baseball that are great at it. Also he was great a person to so white people are gonna look at African Americans different because he was nice gentlemen. That's one reason why he is my hero.
Another reason why I think Jackie Robinson is a hero because he was the first African American to win the NL MVP of baseball. For an example, now the African American Americans will try alot harder at their baseball skills because they want to be know as one of the best baseball players to play as a an African American. Also he was an amazing teammate so he probably could have got the most amazing teammate if they had that award so kid want to be nice. That's another reason why he is my hero. …show more content…

For an example, they have a day in baseball where every team in the MLB everyone wears his number because he was great. Also there was only two people that wore the number 42 and both were African American. That’s the last reason why Jackie Robinson is my hero.
